You awake,
Feeling almost the same as before,
But you also feel as if your heart is lighter. Was it worth this?
You go to bandage your self made wounds,
But they aren't there,
Was it perhaps just a nightmare? Was it worth this?
You hear sobs,
Echoing down the hall,
It's your father. Was it worth this?
Heart feeling heavier than ever before,
You go to your father,
After walking by your passed out mother,
Who still has the stench of alcohol clinging to her skin. Was it worth this?
You find your father,
Holding a note,
You look closer,
It's your handwriting.
But it's dated for six days ago,
and it's stained with blood and tears. Was it worth this?
The memories rush back,
You died.Was it worth this?
You stole your own life away from yourself.
Was it worth this?
And now you're seeing what your life truly meant.
Was it worth this?
But now it's too late.
