I haven't talked to mom since the question, I actually feel really bad, but dad said that I shouldn't and it was ok for me to ask any questions.

"So, again, babe, your mom yelled at you just because you asked her one silly question?" Lucas held my hand, he intertwined our fingers together.

"Yep, maybe something happened before.. it was in the past, so it doesn't matter anyways" I shrugged

"Exactly! It was in the past, she was not supposed to freak out" He rolled his eyes.

"Wassup, dude?" Thomas jumped on Lucas' shoulders.

"Bro, you didn't have to break my shoulders!" Lucas groaned.

"Oh, sorry! I forgot that you use your shoulders to make love" Thomas smirked at us.

"You're gross, Thomas! I hope you know that!" I rolled my eyes.

"Thank you, Alex! I will take that as a compliment" Thomas laughed. "Anyways, I have a class to go to, you two go to your classes before it's too late"

"We will, mom! Bye" Lucas waved at Thomas, and dragged me out of Thomas' way.

Finally, the last bell rang and we walked out of the class. "So what are you going to do today?"

"Homework" I shrugged.

"Can I come over?" Lucas asked me.

"Sure"

"Lucas is coming over!" I told my dad. He smiled a little at me then continued reading the newspaper.

My phone rang and it was Lucas.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey, baby. My dad invites you and your family to our house for dinner tonight, want to come?" Lucas asked.

"Wait, I'll ask my dad, then I'll call you back"

"Ok, bye" we hung up.

"Dad, Lucas' dad invited us to his house for dinner, can we go?" I asked dad.

"Sure, ask your mother"

"Ok" I ran to my parents room, and opened the door. "Mom?"

"Here" she sounded like she was crying.

"Mom? What's wrong? Should I call dad?"

"No... But I missed him" she sobbed.

"Who?" I sat beside her. She was sitting on the floor, holding some pictures.

"I missed him so much, I knew he didn't mean it but he made a lot of mistakes" she cried.

"Mom, who are you talking about?"

"Cameron, my ex, Miles, Finn and Evan's father"

"Why are you still thinking about him? He doesn't deserve your tears or your time!"

"I know, but it's so hard... looking at the pictures and not remembering him"

"Mom?" Anthony walked in. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, nothing is wrong" my mom put the pictures in a cabinet. "Anyways, what are you both here for?"

"Lucas' dad invited us for dinner, want to go?"

"Sure, why not?" She nodded.

"I came here to ask Alex something but never mind" Anthony walked away.

"Boys" we shook our heads laughing.
