Chapter 18: Tears

I was calling Alex none stop, but she wasn't answering, I felt something wrong, but I don't know what it is.

I drove to Alex's house, Caleb's car was there, if Caleb was inside, Alex is too.

I didn't knock the door, but climbed to Alex's room. "Alex?" I opened the window, it wasn't locked. Wtf

Nobody was in the room, I laid on her bed, till she comes but she never did. 5 minutes later, I saw something red on floor coming out of the bathroom, I furrowed my eyebrows, what?

I opened the room door but it was locked, so Alex is here...

"Alex?" I knocked on her bathrooms door, I didn't hear anything but sobs. "Alex, open the door"

She didn't open, "Alex, open the damn door!"

"Go away, Charlie!" She shouted.

"What happened? Open the door, please!" I pushed the door, harder and harder each time. And finally it broke. "ALEX, WHAT THE F*CK?!"

"Charlie, go away!" She was holding a blade, cutting her beautiful arm.

"Alex, are you crazy?" I took the blade from her, "Alex, tell me what happened!"

"My father happened, my father died in a car crash!"

"W-What?"

Dan died? Dan, the one who played with me and Caleb football, who took me to the hospital when my parents weren't even there to take me. Dan who was like a second dad to me, Dan who smiled and laughed at everything I said, Dan who was a great person! He is dead...?

Is that how life works?

Why do all the great people go, and the bad people stay?

Now I'm afraid that life will take Alex's life because she's an amazing girl, I have to stay with her through everything, I have to be strong for her.

"Charlie, he was my best friend..."

"Those tears.. let me wipe them away"

"Those tears.. let me wipe them away" Charlie wiped my tears with his thumbs.

'I know you'll be ok' that's what my dad always used to tell me. Every time something bad happens, those 5/6 words were on repeat. And I kept that on mind.

"Now he's in heaven, keeping you safe" Charlie hugged me.

It feels like hell, now that he's not here with me.

Daddy, how can you leave me like this? It's not fair!

She was davistated, don't know how could just end. and she can't even comprehend where the time went.

But now, it's me and her, and I swear that I'll be there.

Im gonna take the pain away.

I picked Alex up, as a bridal style, and put her on the bed. I washed her blood, and covered it with a towel.

I kissed her forehead, she slept.

When she was sleeping, I decided to write her a song. A song just for her.

I bought a paper and a pencil and start writing a song.
