You go on a trip with your friends to Egypt, not knowing a war would break out. Being trapped their for so long, and so far away from Namjoon, your mind hinders on the possibility that you won't survive, yet Namjoon prays you will comeback to him, like you promised...

Role: Delilah

I slowly took my hands away from my ears and looked around. No more loud, ear splitting noises were echoing so I guessed the air raid was over. I sighed and leaned back onto the wall, accidentally hitting my head on the bed I was hiding under.  I hissed at started to vigorously rub the back of my head as I crawled out. I heard some explosions nearby but I wasn't sure if it was in the building I was in. The door to my room flew open and revealed my friend with a panicked face.

"Phew you're alive." she said relieved. I gave a small smile as she walked out checking everyone else. Me and a group of friends decided to travel to Egypt for a bit, my boyfriend Namjoon was against it saying it wasn't safe here because of the talk of war but I just told him not to worry; now I wish I had listened to him. On our second day here the army started to attack the city we were staying in making it impossible to stay, yet impossible to escape. Now we've all been here for a week praying that there will be an opening for us and a few other tourists to escape and find a way out. The airport is closed so we can't fly out, instead the embassies in Egypt will make make us sail across the sea to Saudi Arabia and get a plane from there.

Namjoon tries to call me everyday to make sure I'm alive and okay, some days he can't reach me because we're all in hiding because of the air raids. I sighed and started to pick up things that had fallen off the shelves from the tremors the explosions made. The raids happen every day and the only warning we have is a drone sounding alarm. Every time I hear it it's like I have a heart attack. Finally I put everything back in place, knowing tomorrow they'll all be on the floor again. I trudged out to join my group of friends in the living room and flopped down onto the couch next to them.

"They bombed the building across us just now. Next it will be us." one said in a monotone voice.

"Don't say that! We'll be out of here soon as long as we have high spirits." another said.

"Well I'm sorry miss positive, it's kinda hard  to be happy right now. Our stuff has gotten destroyed and I've been wearing the same pair of pants for the last week. The threat of death comes round everyday playing 'Who to Bomb' each time and we don't know if we can even get out of this country!" the first one yelled back. As much as I wanted her to shut up I knew she was true. We're screwed.

"And not to mention this camp we're in. No showers, limited food and we can't even communicate back home as much." I said closing my eyes and rubbing my temples. Everyone hummed in agreement. Some of them jumped when the phone went off. "I'll get it. It's probably embassy reassuring us that we can get away ASAP" I said jumping up and walking into the hall way to pick up the phone.

"Hello-"

"Delilah, is that you?" I heard is voice from the other end.

"Namjoon?" I asked then I sighed in relief.

"You're okay, oh my gosh. I heard of the air raid and I panicked about whether it hit your building or not." his voice sounded like he was on the brink of crying, to be honest, so was I.

"I'm fine. Well I'm alive can't say much about the food and accommodation." I chuckled and so did he.

"What have the embassy been saying, are you close to making it out?" he asked, worry in his voice.

"They've been trying to reassure us that we will be out within the next week but I highly doubt it..."

"Don't be like that babe. I'm sure they're trying their best. Just be positive."

"Kinda hard when I'm this far away from you." I said smiling. I felt him smile from the other end.

"I seriously can't bear this. Knowing you're halfway across the world in a war riddled country I just-" his voice broke. He started to sob.

"It's okay, it's okay. I'll be back. Even if it takes months I'll be back soon, that's a promise." I said, tears spilling onto my cheeks. We stayed quiet for a bit before I heard my friends call me. " I have to go, Namjoon. I love you so much." my voice broke as I spoke.

"I love you more Del. Be safe, please."

"I will be I promise." I said and then I put the phone down and wiped my tears away with my sleeve before I went back into the living room to see everyone smiling for once.

"We're getting out of here! Tomorrow!" one of them yelled and the other whooped and high fived each other. I smiled in joy and joined in the celebration. I then ran back to the phone and dialed Namjoon's number. I frowned when the phone was suddenly cut off half way through it ringing.

Suddenly the lights went out. A power cut? I went back into the living room and everyone were in a panic. I shushed them down. We waited for the siren but we heard none.

"I guess they must've run out of electricity." one said. "Get used to living in the dark guys." we all moaned and groaned before coming up with ways to entertain ourselves for the next few hours.

Namjoon's POV

After finally reaching Delilah and speaking to her I felt a little less tense but I still felt worried and on edge. The manager was nice enough to let me off of practice and promotions so I could keep tabs on what's happening in Egypt. That night I woke up in a cold sweat after having a nightmare about Delilah dying in an air raid; I knew it wasn't real but the risk was so high that it could happen. I managed to get back to sleep but woke up an hour later when my phone pinged. I groaned as I turned over to get my phone and squinted in the phones light before focusing on the notification.

'Building in Egypt destroyed in Raid'

My heart stopped and I sat up to read the news article.

During an air raid in a town in Egypt, a building was destroyed which was accommodation to tourists trapped there due to the sudden break out of war. Reportedly, the tourists which were staying within the building were supposed to leave in the middle of the night too travel to Saudi Arabia and fly from there to their home destinations. It is not sure if they all left or if they left in time at all since 5 bodies were found within the building's rubble, all of them unidentifiable. More to be reported when more information comes in...

My mind clouded over and in rage I threw my phone across the room causing it to hit the door to my room. I leaned my head into my hands as I heard running footsteps approach my door before it swung open to reveal Jin, Hoseok and Jimin.

"What's wrong?" Jin asked as they all made their way into my room. Hoseok accidentally stepped on my phone and picked it up, reading the article through the shattered screen. He gasped as he realised Delilah could've been one of the unidentifiable people withing the rubble. The others left me to go read it too then they all just looked at each other in shock before Jimin spoke up.

"Listen, Hyung, it says that they could've left the building and only 5 were found, there must've been at least 50 other tourists and they must've escaped. The chances that she actually died and got crushed and- OW!" Jin grabbed Jimin ear to shut him up. He wasn't making things any better. Jin shooed him out only leaving him and Hoseok in the room.

"It says there will be more information soon, so it means there will be news in if they find out that the tourists managed to escape then we will see if Delilah is amongst them. Okay?" he said, and I nodded, silently praying for her to be okay and safe. She promised me she would be...

A/N, this is probably the longest imagine I've done since it's gonna go into 2 parts ^^' Also, disclaimer, I don't think there's an intense war going on in Egypt but I know there's some fighting going on there rn, but I just chose that place cause I saw it in the news today.  No disrespect to anyone in Egypt.
