Dianna went to her room with her demon rabbit in her arms and laid down on her bed. Looking over at her clock, she saw that it was only five fifteen in the afternoon. She was already tired and wanted to sleep, but she pushed it to the side.
An idea formed in her head and she grabbed a clipboard with paper and pen to write something down.
"Hey, how do you work? Tell me everything I need to know about you and my situation." She says to Advoll. Letting out a small squeak, he disappears for a second before reappearing in a poof of pitch black smoke.
"Yo." He says as Dianna holds her mouth. Advoll chuckles and walks to her window, opening it as the smoke starts to fade away.
"Don't do that! I don't want my fire alarm to go off." She scolds, letting out an upset sigh. Dianna writes on the paper to have her windows open a hair so that Advoll doesn't smoke up the house.
"Don't worry, it's harmless." He says as he sits on her bed. The rabbit scratches at his ears and lets out a sigh. "So, anything you want to learn about?"
"So many things. I'll write them all down so you don't have to remind me, but let's start with one thing that I've been curious about since I saw you and that bird thing fighting. What in the hell was that?!" She asked and yelled at the same time.
"My true form. Er well, to some degree." He says with a small chuckle. "You see, you can power me up by letting me battle angels and demons. Since I was owned by a previous person, he constantly made sure I was trained in some way. After he passed, I was left in my current state and just so happened to become your familiar. So I'm decently strong only cause of that man."
"Okay, so how do I capture demons and angels? And how do they work?" Dianna questions.
"Well for starters you have to have one. You can find demons in their demonic form as long as you have a familiar. Angels are harder to find since they look exactly like regular animals. Their angel forms are elegant and pretty while a demons is monstrous and grotesque. If your familiar is a demon, angels are less likely to come to you and demons will flock to you. If your familiar is an angel, demons are less likely to come to you and angels will come to you." He explains, taking a breath as well.
"And to capture them is a complicated process to get the supplies. Papyrus, a writing utensil, white or black paint, and a ball is needed. I doesn't matter the size of the ball, but you have to have one. You draw a symbol of any kind on it, but it has to be unique and be able to be replicated over and over again. For starters, you have to paint an even coat of black or white paint on the papyrus and draw your symbol. After that, wrap it around the ball and put it into either ice or fire. Black paint and fire for a demon, white paint and ice for an angel." He explains, Dianna writing it all down quickly. "That or you can buy them from someone, all you need is your symbol."
"Okay, so how does fighting work? Do I have to heal you?" She asks as she writes down her question and then flipping the paper over to fit more notes.
"Well, affection, sleep, and letting me eat is the easiest ways. Other ways are to be one of the two Solstices, but I doubt that you'll understand it." Advoll says with a sigh.
"Solstice? What is that?" She asked curiously. Dianna felt herself becoming intrigued with the small red herring. "I know that the definition is that it's an astronomical event that occurs twice each year as the Sun reaches its highest or lowest excursion to the celestial equator on the celestial sphere.
'Cause thanks astronomy." She says."Its more than that. When the sun is at its highest peak, that's catching season. Angels and demons come out of the shadows and want to be captured for the tournament. It's a long battle, but once the two winners have been decided, they both work together to fight the current Solstices who determines everything. They decide the weather, seasons, how many demons and angels there are, and so many more things. There's Heaven and Hell that can be controlled and if you have more demons than angels, you each over Hell beside Satan. And the same with angels; the more angels you have, you can rule beside God." Advoll explains, sitting back and chuckling.
"Whoa. That seems like a big job." Dianna says shocked.
"Yeah, the Solstices have powerful demons and angels by their sides and the challengers always lose. They're immortal and will take all of the challenger's demons and angels and free them, only leaving them with their weakened familiar. Their demons and or angels will be healed immediately after a battle of any kind and they live well. Both challengers need at least their familiar to claim their place and the Solstices will wither away." The rabbit man says with a smile. "I'd love to challenge them again. Two masters ago, Penelope and my crew challenged the two Solstices along side her sister Georgia. They lost miserably and Penelope was killed when she tried to protect me." He recalls with a shiver.
"I'm so sorry." Dianna says with sorrow in her voice. Advoll chuckled and put his head against his current master's, rubbing her hair gently.
"It's fine, love. She was kind and sweet, but not as short as you." He joked, earning a punch in the chest from his master.
"Oh shut up." She growled, putting the clipboard to the side. "You must be hungry, do you want anything?" The human asked as she slipped out of bed.
"Yeah actually, anything in mind?" The rabbit man asked as his ears twitched softly.
"Sushi?" Dianna suggested happily. "Or do I have to feed you carrots?"
"I can eat garbage and still be fine. I, honestly, can eat just about anything." Advoll says as he followed his human to the kitchen.
"The sushi it is." She says as she gets out the necessary items to make some. Rice, wasabi, seaweed, salmon, and tuna were her chosen foods, a bamboo roller and a knife her tools.
"Hope you don't poison me." Advoll says as Dianna prepared the rice and fish.
"Oh hush, I don't plan on it." She says with a laugh. Advoll sat on the couch and fiddled with the T.V remote, turning it on and looking through the channels curiously.
As some time passed and the human made food, Advoll had somehow found his way onto the anime channel. Dianna's favorite show was on and the theme song that she listened to so frequently was playing proudly.
"Woah, make room! This is my favorite show!" She says as she set up a dinner tray and put down the food. Dianna hurried to grab two glasses of water as she flopped on the couch, eating the sushi with her familiar.
Advoll chuckled and sat back with his human, watching the main character fighting the villain and saving his companion with abnormally large brests and scandalous clothes.
"Why is she dressed like that? She looks like a prostitute." The rabbit demon laughed.
"It's her battle armor, she normally dresses more modest actually." Dianna explains as the sushi on the plate decreased by the minute.
By the time the two fell asleep, the episode came and went along with the entire marathon. The demon and his master had fallen asleep with full stomachs and the moon in the air proudly. The moonlights washed everything in a silver light as the T.V continued to play the theme song one last time as the two slept peacefully.
