Relationships are hard, even when the person lives 10 minutes away. Even that distance can cause so much pain. A small amount of distance can cause so much destruction. Now imagine dating someone who one day is laying next to you and the next day they are across the ocean in a new country. In a new city every night, a new country every month. Meeting new people left and right, meeting girls who she could easily fall in love with. Girls who are already madly in love with her. How do you deal will all of that, how do you put up with the fact that she might be there the next morning. How do you deal with the fact she might be coming home at the end of the tour, that she might actually still be in love with you.

"she could do better" you heard one of them mumble, looking down at your shoes you took a deep breath "I mean her past girlfriends were better" you heard someone else say. Hearing your name being called, you looked up and smiled at the barista as she handed you, your drink.

"Thank you," you said grabbing the cup, smiling down at the warm cup. Walking past the girls you took a seat in the back and pulled out your notebook. You needed to get your work done and with Dinahbeing home, the house was always loud. If she wasn't playing music, Normani was over learning dances. Running your fingers through your hair you tried to focus on the work in front of you.

"It's kind of sad" you heard someone laugh, looking up your raised your eyebrow at the brunette girl who had turned around in her seat to stare at you. She rolled her eyes and turned back around to her friend, giggling about how you didn't even bother with your hair. Reaching up, you softly touched your messy bun and shook your head trying to refocus on the notebook. Tugging softly at the collar of your shirt, you tried to hide the scar. You heard as she giggled about it, looking down you frowned, tilting your head slightly you tried your best to find a way to hide it. You knew dating her wasn't easy, there were always those people who didn't like you. Those who didn't seem to care about the fact that you actually have feelings, just like every other human. Those who didn't care that one little comment could cause so much pain.

Shaking your head you grabbed your things and slipped out of the booth. Feeling them glare at you as you made your way past them. Sighing you walked towards your car and dropped your things in the backseat before climbing into the front seat and driving back home. Gripping the steering wheel with one hand, you rested your elbow by the window and tangled your fingers in your hair. Thinking about everything they had said, shaking your head as you heard someone honking.

"Shit" you cursed under your breath and waved at them before you started to drive again. Taking a deep breath you focused on the road in front of you. All you wanted was to get home and just stay in bed. Pushing the door open you heard as all the noise stopped. "Y/N" you heard her voice from the back of the house. Closing the door behind you, you locked it and dropped your things on the couch before making your way towards the back. "Yeah," you asked as you ran your fingers along the wall, leaning on the door frame. You watched as her smile dropped, she set her phone down and opened her arms for you. Biting down on your lip, you quickly made your ran into her arms. she pulled you down on her lap and wrapped her arms around your waist.

"What's wrong baby," she asked as she pressed her lips to your forehead. Shaking your head you nuzzled into the crook of her neck. You felt as her arm moved slowly up and down your arm. Sitting on the floor, you leaned against the wall and wrapped your arms around your knees. Watching as she danced away, her bottom lip captured between her teeth, she winked over at you causing you to smile slightly. she stopped , getting on the floor she crawled over and leaned her head down kissing you softly. "What's wrong beautiful," she asked as she sat in front of you, her hands cupping your cheeks. Biting down on your lip you looked up at her "What happened" she asked.

"Some people were being mean" you mumbled quietly looking down at your lap. You heard as she sighed, her arms wrapped around you, she pulled you closer to her, her lips pressing the side of your head "You can do better" you added. You felt as her body tensed against yours. "Is this what this is about?" she asked looking over at you. Looking down at your feet, you bit down on your lip, she wrapped her arm around your waist. Her other hand rested gently under your chin making you looked up. Sighing you stared at her through the mirror.
