Someone kicked me awake. I opened up my eyes to see that it was Kili that did it. I wanted to yell at him, but when I saw the blood dripping down from his face I knew that I shouldn't be that harsh towards him. He was sitting on the edge of his cot and was anxious for me to say something to him.

"How's Fili," Kili asked quickly as soon as he realized that I wasn't going to say anything to him. I sat up properly and as I did this my furs readjusted around me.

"I have no idea. I've been waiting on news myself," I answered. Kili let out a sad sigh. He threw hi legs back onto the cot and looked over at the healers. I stood up and looked around the healers room to see if I could find Balin which I couldn't.

"Kili, do you know where Balin is," I asked as I continued to gaze around the room.

"Yeah, he went out to welcome Dwalin and the others," Kili answered. I took a few steps towards the door and looked back at Kili whose eyes were glued on the healers waiting of any news of his brother.

"Sit there and be a good lad. You're already in deep trouble," I ordered Kili. He just nodded his head and continued staring at the healers. I made my way to the door and opened it.

There I was met by the rest of my company. Everyone gathered around me awaiting for some news.

"Well, I have no news," I told them. With that they sort of egan to separate. I realized that it was time for them all to  begin heading back home.

"Head home. Get what you need here, but by tomorrow afternoon I want you all gone. Those are your orders," I announced to everyone. I knew that the orders that I had given them were deeply appreciated by most of them. They just wanted to get home after this awful adventure.

"What about your lassie," Dwalin asked me. I had forgotten all about the little girl I had adopted a few hours prior.

"Take her under your care, and when I come back I will take her back," I answered. With that Dwalin left me and began to walk towards the wagon. The rest of them had left to go find food or a room to stay in for tonight.

I went back inside to hear news of my nephew. I had noticed that Oin and the host healer had stopped working and were enjoying a nice smoke next to the fire. I walked over to them awaiting some news. Oin had heard me approaching and turned to see me.

"He will be okay, some bad scarring, but the Laddie will be okay," Oin assured me. I suddenly felt a large burden drop down from my shoulders. A small smile crossed over my face. I turned to Kili who had a large bandage wrapped around his head. He was resting on his cot. I walked over to Fili. All of his clothes were off except his pants. His chest was wrapped up in bandages. His skin was pale and his breathing was soft. I was glad he was resting. I put my hand over his hand and gave it a squeeze.

"Domirer nar view thorokian," I told him in dwarvish. I let go of his hand and looked over at Kili. Both of them were asleep. Tomorrow we would begin our way home.
