~Thomas' POV~
Y/N's story really kind of just hurt. Like, who just randomly gets threatened like that. It's so sad. She acts like it's not even a big deal. She ran away, that was pretty brave. I glance at James, his eyes full of sympathy. I turn back to Y/N, smiling. "You could stay here until you find a place. Ain't like you have no where to go anyway." I suggested. Her face lit up and she smiled. Her cheeks raised and looked like of like squishy plums when she smiled...it was so cute. "Really??!" She bursted out. I shrugged, putting my hands in my pockets. James looked at me like he couldn't believe I offered. I looked at him. He gave me a Thomas what the hell are you doing, you can't take care of another person we have a cabinet meeting tomorrow, you just came back from France, why the hell are you putting this strain on me type of face. "Excuse us for a moment Miss Y/N." James said calmly, grabbing me by the arm and pulled me out of the room. Here come my lecture.
"Thomas, that's a little too much.." James looked at me. I let out a heavy sigh. "Look, I know there's a lot of tensity and stress but we can't just throw her out on the street man, that's messed up." I explained. He looked so concerned. I lifted his arm and made him give me a fist pump. "We'll be fine." I reassured him. James nodded slightly. I smiled and went back into the room with Y/N, who was not-so-casually looking out the window. She was probably listening but whatever. "You're good to stay." I stated. Y/N smiled warmly. "Thank you, I'll be sure to get a job as quick as I can and then get out of your hair." She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. I shrugged. "Take your time."
~ a Time skip cause it's fun ~
I look at my papers and groan. James was working in the office down the hall on the same exact project. Y/N was in the shower, cause she defiantly needed it. I mean she didn't smell bad she just had mud and things all over her.. Focus on work Thomas.. I thought to myself. But I don't wanna work. Hamilton can shove a- I stopped my thoughts quickly and shook my head. I take a deep breath and walked down the hall, freezing. Y/N was walking out the bathroom. I felt my cheeks heat up and I hide. She's naked..under a towel...crap. I stayed still until I heard the door close and then went into James' office. He was working away as usual. How does he do that?
"James can't I just roll with the flow?" I asked, leaning on his desk. James looked at me. "If you're prepared enough I guess." He stated, seeming to examine me. "Why're you so red in the face?" He arched a brow. I felt my cheeks. They were still pretty warm...ugh. I can't tell him what happened he'd think I was some sort of pervert...because I've been pretty pervy in the past. "Dunno." I shrug, letting out a sigh. James gave me a flat look. "You like how she looks." He stated plainly. I huffed and crossed my arms. "I'm not gonna admit to that." I looked away. I heard James grumble something as he went back to typing.
I decide to go and get something to eat from downstairs. That would be nice..yea maybe that's all I need. I wonder if Y/N cooks, she said she was a maid. I wonder what she can cook. I walk downstairs and open the fridge. "Leftover pizza from last night, old pasta..?" I huffed. This is ridiculous.
I hear footsteps down the stairs. I look over to see Y/N coming down, her hair brushed out, in her, now washed, shirt from last night, and some jeans James must've given her. "Heyo." She flashed me a smile. I felt my cheeks hest up slightly as I waved. "Yo." She looked like of cute...she needed a belt...I wonder if she's- I cut my thoughts off. Stop it Thomas. I never felt so weird around a girl before...it feels all fluttery inside. I shake my head and close the fridge. I can't actually be falling in love with a girl I've just met? Love doesn't plant that fast...does it? Oh no, now I'm doubting what I know. I think and watch her as she sits down on the couch. Damn it Thomas.
