Blake rolls over in bed and wraps his arm around my waist. His fingers grab my pyjama shirt and lift it up. I feel his hand rub over my tummy and it feels great, the baby seems to like it because I feel the baby kick. I wince from the pain sharp pain. What is he doing in there? Playing football?

"Yeah, I'm still on for the party. Sure, I promise to be there," says Blake.

"Hm," I groan. "When are you coming to bed?" I whisper.

Blake kisses my shoulder and smiles. "What? No way, I don't believe you."

I pull a funny face at Blake as I slide out of the bed and walk into the bathroom. As I stand by the door, I look over my shoulder to find Blake pouting. That should teach Blake to talk with Ben in bed when he should be cuddling me instead.

"Mate, you're getting me in trouble with my missus," says Blake.

There's a brief pause before Blake rolls over. I hear some talking before they dive into another conversation about some girl Ben's seeing. Ben has a bed friend and it worries me. Not because I'm jealous of it, but because of the way things turned out for Kyle. It would be nice for Ben to settle down and butt out of our relationship for once.

I'm sure Ben has a few thoughts on the current situation. I wonder if Kyle ever told Ben about the kiss or the things that have happened. I suppose if Ben knew he'd tell Blake. At the end of the day, Ben and Kyle might be new friends but there has to be some loyalty to Blake? Or I could be over thinking. They do say men are from Mars and girls from Venus.

Grabbing my toothbrush from the holder, I run it under the water and put some toothpaste on it. As I brush my teeth, I poke my head out the door and grin at Blake. He makes kissy faces as he continues to talk with Ben. At least Blake is getting the chance to be young again. We all need a break from life at some point. I'm still waiting for Blake to surprise me with a very long vacation.

Once I'm finished brushing my teeth, I rinse my mouth with water and tie my hair into a bun. Raising my arms lifts my loose shirt and gives me a view of my growing belly. I turn to the side and admire it. I rub my hands over and smile with happiness. Soon baby, soon! I'll hold you in my arms and I'll kiss your forehead.

My world might not be perfect and I'm clearly failing at life, but this bub makes me feel like I might do some good with my life. With my arms wrapped around my stomach, things feel perfect.

Turning off the light, I wander past the cot. London pokes her head up and starts crying.

"I know there can't be anything wrong with you because I just changed your nappy and you guzzled your whole night bottle," I say.

Tears stream down her pink cheeks as she jumps up and down. She raises her arms in the air to be lifted.

"You're going to get me in trouble," I explain,
