"What did you say?" Hindik ang balahibong tanong ko kay Tiago Lance makaraan ang ilang sandali.

"Mirabella is dead." My face turns pale when Tiago Lance repeated his words.

She's dead? Mirabella is dead? But what about the woman I saw a few months ago? I'm in my sanest mind when Mirabella approached me. We've talked and she told me she's Tiago Lance's spouse.

"That's i-impossible." Hindi makapaniwalang gagad ko. I stuttered as I watched the crinkles on his forehead. "I saw her. We've t-talked."

"She's the reason why I've left you." I hissed. May tila mabigat na bagay ang dumagan sa dibdib ko.

Ano bang pinagsasabi ni Tiago Lance?

"Don't make a story here!" Tumalim ang mga mata ko nang tangkain akong hawakan ni Tiago Lance. "You're lying."

" She's not dead, she's freaking alive, Tiago Lance. I saw her with my own eyes!" I shouted.

"Listen, Barbara. My wife is dead. Kasama siya sa mga taong namatay dahil sa hostage taking sa isang bus apat na taon na ang nakakalipas." His face looked serious and I don't think he's just faking his statement.

Umiling ako. It's so easy to fabricate lies, lalo na kung manggaling kay Tiago Lance. I should have known Tiago Lance was a good actor. Darn!

"At anong gusto mong palabasin, Tiago Lance? Na nagsisinungaling ako? O baka naman nababaliw na ako? I saw Mirabella in flesh. She's alive! It's not just my imagination, damn it!"

"Barbara..." He calmly said.

"So ano, multo iyong nakita ko? Your wife waked up from the grave? Nagmumulto siya? Wow, is this some kind of a joke?"

"Barbara, Calm down. Mirabella is longed gone. I know because I was there. I led the SWAT team when saving them from the hostage taking."

"She die when the bomb exploded. No one were saved. I failed to save her..." I bit my bottom lip when I saw the blood shot in his eyes.

"Nadamay siya pati na ang maraming inosenteng buhay. Takas sa kulungan ang hostage taker. He's a drug lord. He demanded a way to escape because he knew the moment he stepped out of the bus, he'll be shoot to kill."

"Being the chief of command, I declined his order and thought we're in controlled of the situation. I've negotiated to him, and asked for the help of his family. They talked to him and told him no once's going to shoot him if he'll surrender himself peacefully. He agreed."

"He came out, but the moment he saw his wife being harrased by the NBI, he immediately loses hope and have gone mad and evil. The next thing we knew, a massive explosion happened."

"We loss a lot of life. No one we're saved, even Mirabella. Fck!"

I felt horrified on the information that Tiago Lance revealed. Halos mabuwal ako sa pagkakatayo ko. My head hurts. I saw the frustrations in his blood shot eyes, but I was so confused to react. Ang daming gumugulo sa utak ko.

"Please Barbara believe me." Humakbang siya habang ako naman ay paulit ulit na umiling.

"I can't..."Naninikip ang dibdib na turan ko. I don't know what to believe. Basta ang alam ko lang si Mirabella ang nakita ko, at buhay siya.

Umatras ako at dali daling tinakbo ang pintuan.

LUMIPAS ang ilang araw na hindi ko nakita si Tiago Lance. Gustuhin ko mang tanungin kay kuya David kung nasan siya ay naunahan na ako ng pride. Mas okay na sigurong ganito.
