• Chapter 7 • The bride

Present day

"Son I have found the girl for you to marry" my dad says confidently as I sit up from my bed. I was asleep and having a vary nice one at that. Why would my dad wreck my dreams to tell me about some girl.

"Dad? What are you talking about?" I ask rubbing my eyes and yawning.

"Meet downstairs in half an hour. Elizabeth is going to be waiting there so look presentable." My dad says and I glare as he leaves the room. He just won't leave me alone. Every day he walks into my room saying ed found the perfect wife. I never want them. He turns out to find something wrong.

I get dressed in my normal vampire outfit. A white button up shirt, a black cape and black pants.

I flat iron my hair and make my way downstairs to the living room.

"And Daniel just needs a push in this whole relation ship thing." My dan is rambling but stops when I walk in. He sits up straighter and begins for me to sit down.

I see a girl I know. Sort of. She's a girl from my school. Elizabeth May. She has long black hair, brown eyes and pale pale skin.

She looks like she doesn't want to be here.

"Daniel this Is Elizabeth." He says introducing me.

"We know each other dad she's in my school" I say ashy sting my fringe so it's out of my face. "I thought you were going for other royalty"I add and he looks annoyed.

"I was Daniel but then you rejected every one. Or at least all the other suitable vampire family's." He remarks with annoyance in his voice. My dad is the king of all vampires but all around the world there are paths to user realms. Ours is just the biggest and main. He is in charge of all of them.

"Well Elizabeth's is a nice girl and she's good in school." Elizabeth's dad starts. He points out everyhing about her and then finnishes. He talks about from her birth to her social life.

And my dad can't find anything wrong with her.

"We're going to leave you two alone now." My dad says and him and Elizabeth's dad dad leave.

We sit in a burning science.

"I don't want to marry you." She says after a while of glaring at me.

"Why not?" I ask almost defensively. Every girl that's come into this room in the past month has been begging for me to marry her.

"Because I have a girlfriend." She says. "And she's better then any guy." She says staring at me. I don't quite have a reaction.

"I have a boyfriend." I say and her eyes widen "and I don't want to marry you." I say and she smiles.

"I never knew thee dan howell was gay." She says and I shrug.

"I didn't know until I met him. His name is Phil and bed not exactly vampire..." I say. She gasps and her eyes widen.

"Is it true he's human?" She asks and I nod.

"How did you know?" I ask and she points out the window to a big black bird.

"They told us. Every one knows dan. People don't know you like guys though." She trails off and I turn to the bird witch opens it's beak.

"Im sorry!" It says when I glare at it. I point and it freezes so it can't go away.

"You tell one person I'm gay and well eat your whole family" I hiss and it looks scared.

"Okay I wong!" I says and i point. It flys away and I look back to Elizabeth.

"Your mum was human wasn't she?" She asks almost sadly.

"Yea" I say and pause. "She was. Unless my dad lied but I don't think he did." I say and she nods.

"So it's settled then." My dad says walking back in. He looks extremely pleased and I don't know why. "You and Elizabeth with marry next spring." He smiles.

"What?! No!" We both say at the same time leaning forward in the chairs.

"Don't worry. There will be a spark soon." Elizabeth dad says. "Now come on Elizabeth." She says and she glares but obediently gets up and follows her dad out.

"You will make an amazing husband." He says joyfully. "I know you think your gay but it's just a faze." He says and I glare at him.

"no it's not!" I say angrily. "I love him. You haven't even met him so give him a chance!" I say gets filling my eyes. Before they spill I run to my room and collapse on my bed.
