• Chapter 9 • The apartment

"It's a nice night" Megan sighs looking at the stars. How will Phil take me bringing two more vampires into his house? Will he hate me? Will they hate him.

We arrive at my boyfriends house and we perch on the window sill in our bat forms.

"I need to talk to him first. Warn him. He Might not take it well. It took a while for him to trust me." I say sliding open the window into his bedroom and slipping in.

"Hey Phil" I call walking into the kitchen where he's eatting dry bowls of cereal. Even though we've known each other so long he's still a bit scared when he sees me.

"Hey dan" Phil says putting down the cereal. "Didn't I tell you to knock at the front door?" He asks and I guiltily smile.

"Yea I know. But since when do I listen to your rules" I smirk as I nudge him. "we need to talk about something." I say looking at him seriously. We're rarely serious so phil shuts up right away. "I'm meant to be picking flowers for my wedding." I say. I might have left out the whole I'm getting married thing to him.

"I thought we were dating..." Phil sass lowly and you can see hurt In his eyes. "Are you cheating on me?" He asks me softly.

"Phil" I sigh and he starts crying. "Phil I'm not cheating on you." He won't listen. I snap my fingers to get his attention and he looks at me sadly.

"My dad is making me marry a girl named Elizabeth and she has a girlfriend named Megan and they have this stupid pet crow thing and we ran away so we don't have to get married." I say quickly. Phil looks confused. Then he catches on.

"You brought 2 more vampires and a crow to my house!" He says and I nod. "Dan!" He says panicking as he grabs a fist full of garlic and a wooden spoon to protect himself with.

"Phil relax okay I know them
Both from school" I coo softly but he looks tarrified. "At least give them a chance" I say softly and he shakes his head mo.

"No dan. One vampire is enough. That's it. Three vampires is too much! And a parrot!" He says and I roll my eyes.

"A crow" I say and he glares at me.

"No." He says firlmly and I sigh.

"Fine then. I'm going to have to force you to" I say and snap my fingers.

"Dan! I don't want more vampires in my house!" He says as his body, under my power, walks to his bedroom. "No! Dan!"

"It's okay Phil" I reassure him softly. I let in Elizabeth and Megan and the crow. Then I shut the door.

"Dan he has garlic!" Megan hisses to me as she watches phil tremble in his bed.

"I know but he can't move" I shrug. "Magic ya know?" I say and smile.

"Don drink my blood!" Phil wimpers as I sit beside him and pet his fringe.

"Does this idiot really think we still drink human blood? Fucking stereotypes" Elizabeth hisses talking a step toward the trebling human boy.

She gently tips his chin up so his watery blue eyes are looking right into her blazing red eyes.

"You will let us stay here" she hisses. "You will let us eat your food. You will let us borrow your clothes. You will let us have beds. And you will look after us." She hisses and pauses "understood?" She asks blazing into his soul. Elizabeth is so quite at school.

"Understood" Phil wimpers fearfully and she lets go Of him. I let phil move again as he cuddles up into me and looks like he's about to cry.

I hold him tightly as Elizabeth turns away from us to Megan.

"We'll take the Spair room. Dan get changed. You need to go job hunting. Phil stop being a whiny crybaby" she says and I squeeze him tighter and he cuddles closer into my chest. "Megan and I will get diner. We haven't eaten since breakfast" she says quickly kissing Megan and walking out. Megan follows and the crow is left sitting on Phil's pick nick basket bedpost.

"Phil you like animals." I say grabbing to crow and shoving it into Phil's hands. "Play with this one." Phil smiles softly at the crow who glares at me. I stick my tongue out at it as Phil looks lovingly at it.

"Hey little guy" he coos as he pets his feathers. "What's his name, dan?" Phil asks looking at me.

"Uh he doesn't have a name" I shrug. Phil's eyes light up brighter then I've ever seen before

"dan can I name him?" He says excitedly. After a few minuets of Phil's whining I finaly let him name him.

"As long as it's a cool name." I smirk.

"What about striker dan!" Phil says and the crows eyes lights up as I to say 'yes yes!' So I smirk at it.

"Anything else?" I ask him and the crows face falls. "You've already named half of your house plants striker and you've pre named our baby's."

"Susan!" He beams and the crow shakes his head no. "Please Susan dan please Susan please susan" he begs and I chuckle and nod.

"Sure I like susan" I smile and nod.

"DAN YOU BEGTER BE GETTING DRESSED!" Elizabeth screams.

"Can I borrow something to wear?" I ask walking over to his wardrobe.

"Sure. I did laundry so everything's clean." Phil smiles and nods. "Should I go?" He asks timidly.

"Only if you want." I smirk. He smiles and his eyes crinkle.

"I think il stay then."
