I don’t know what to say to him, so I just mumble a quick “sorry” and step through the door.

“Wait. Do I know you? You seem familiar. I mean of course everyone knows you as the one to watch in the competition…” I turn to look at him standing behind me with his arms crossed and he’s leaning against the door.

“But I swear I’ve seen you somewhere else before. Hmmm” he strokes his chin thoughtfully.

I stay still as I silently pray that he won’t remember the embarrassing way I was staring at him that night which seems like ages ago.

“Oh I got it now!” he says snapping his fingers. “You’re the coke boy who Steve called weird after you left.” His eyes go wide as he realizes what he’s said. “Oops.” He smiles apologetically.

“It’s fine. You’re Louis right?” I offer him my hand.

“Yeah, and you are?” he smiles while shaking my hand.

“Harry. Harry Styles.”

“Well I’m Louis Tomlinson and I want to be your X Factor friend.” He smiles. “I have an extra bed in my hotel room so you can stay there if you’d like. I mean don’t take in a weird way because many of the other boys are sharing room--“

“I’d love to” I interrupt him from his rambling. And watch as he smiles widely.

“Okay then. I...uh... I’ll leave you now.” He says while looking at the stall I’m obviously trying to go in.

“Okay, I’ll see you later then?”

“For sure” he grins and exits the restroom.

After all the groups have done their dances in front of the judges, we’re all free to go back to our hotel rooms for the night. I’d been assigned a room but I gave back the key before grabbing my bag and following Louis to his room.

“So how did you even get into the concert, you’re sixteen right?” he asks as we step into the hotel elevator.

“I know people.” I grin and he laughs.

“Sneaky bastard aren’t you?” he states and I laugh along with him.

We get out of the elevator and walk through the long hallway.

“Unfortunately my room is at the end of this never-ending hallway so if we’re tired this might be a problem.”

“It’s fine” I smile.

The room is medium sized and has a small kitchen, bathroom and the bedroom has two small beds.

“Home sweet home” Louis sarcastically says while looking around the room. “You’d think a big show like the X Factor could afford bigger rooms. But I think this’ll be good for the next couple of days.” He shrugs.

“I think it’s great. It’s supposed to be for one person, right?”

“Right” he says while carrying his bag to the bedroom.

Well this should be fun.
