Hopefully this will be one of the last interview because I really want to get this book over with soon. But anywhos here is the great and awesome Chique_Freak. She's really awesome and the link to her page to check out her books will be in the external link. Now on with the show?
Which writers inspire you? I first discovered Wattpad because one of my friends was on it (lucky me I had one guaranteed follower) and the first book I read was "These Butterfly's Inside" by Damentalgirl and to this day she remains very inspirational to me. I also am really inspired by you and CrayonChomper. (Ahhh I Feel Special- Anarchy)
So, what have you written? A lot xD But for what I've finished, only one story in my lifetime and that is The One Wearing White, which is still up on my WORKS, though I may delete it later on xD
What are you working on at the minute? A few stories, mostly trying to finish Nobody''s Hero and get into my new short story Melting Hearts.
What genre are your books? Mostly TeenFiction, Romance, Humor. I have one Horror...oh gosh..I'm sort of all over the place.
What draws you to this genre? Well, since there are a few, I'll start with TeenFiction. I love it for it's obviously relatable reasons. but also because it's so easy to write and read. For Romance it's because I'm secretly a Hopeless Romantic xD Who would have guessed? And Horror because I'm a twisted little thing.
How much research do you do? ...what's a research o.O?
When did you decide to become a writer? I've always been writing, but I became really serious about it after my grandpa died when I was eight.
Why do you write? Because I don't have a lot of control over stuff in my life and when I write I can make anything I want happen. But also because I put a lot of myself into everything I write and I want other people to feel certain things that I've felt.
What made you decide to sit down and actually start something? I'm not sure. It's sort of a win or lose for me. I start something and it either turns out or..doesn't xP
Do you have a special time to write or how is your day structured? I get home and laze about on the computer all afternoon, if I write at all well… that's an entirely different question.
Do you write every day, 5 days a week or as and when? I write at least something everyday. Weather it be a poem or a scrap random story I'll never finish or adding a few paragraphs to my novel.
Do you aim for a set amount of words/pages per day? Not per day, but in my story Nobody's Hero, I try for every page to be at least 3 or 4. I would shoot for 6 or 7, but I'm honestly not willing to drag out my storyline that much.
Do you write on a typewriter, computer, dictate or longhand? Computer xP My handwriting SUCKS.
Where do the ideas come from? My mind! I'm sometimes smart.
Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just see where an idea takes you? A bit of both. I see where it takes me at first and always end up planning certain things that need to occur in my last few chapters. But it's pretty rough so I still can get crazy with it.
How do you think you’ve evolved creatively? Pretty well. I probably have tons more to do though.
What is the hardest thing about writing? Getting across a certain message/feeling without giving away the entire plot.
What was the hardest thing about writing your latest book? In Nobody's Hero it was hard leading to the conclusion/solution/surprising thing, without making it obvious.
How long on average does it take you to write a book? A LONG TIME
Do you ever get writer’s Block? oh honey please I'm too fabulous..yes I do.
Do you read much and if so who are your favorite authors? I read like it's nobody's business and I love Meg Cabot, J.K Rowling, and Ann Brashares.
For your own reading, do you prefer ebooks or traditional paper/hard back books? Paperback xP Nothing beats an old smelly book.
What book/s are you reading at present? The SisterHood Of The Traveling Pants and Divergent.
Do you let the book stew – leave it for a month and then come back to it to edit? Have you seen the (Editing) thingy on The One Wearing White for the last 3 MONTHS!? I'm so lazy.
Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp? There's a lot.
How much of the book is realistic? Some, the parts that tie in my life.
