I'm probably insane, but my idea was this: suppose Klaus had never killed Mikael. It's been a awhile since I saw season two, but I remember Klaus's reasons. Let's just say it never happened. Mikael was there. How would his being in season three have made the show any different?
Mikael is one of my favorite Originals (Elijah being my other favorite). To me, there just aren't enough fanfictions with him in it, and in the ones that do he's usually portrayed as the villain because most people like Klaus. Don't get me wrong, I like Klaus too. I just don't see Mikael as evil.
And now for our cast, though I figure you likely know who they are.
We have:
Sebastian Roche as Mikael
Joseph Morgan as Niklaus 'Klaus' Mikaelson
Daniel Gillies as Elijah Mikaelson
Riley Voelkel as Freya Mikaelson
Pheobe Tonkin as Hayley Marshall-Kenner
Charles Michael Davis as Marcel Gerard
Leah Pipes as Camille 'Cami' O'Connell
Danielle Campbell as Davina Claire
Nathaniel Buzolic as Kol Mikaelson
Claire Holt as Rebekah Mikaelson
Yusuf Gratewood as Vincent Griffith
Caspar Zafer as Finn Mikaelson
Oliver Ackland as Tristan de Martel
Rebecca Breeds as Aurora de Martel
Andrew Lees as Lucien Castle
Steven Krueger as Joshua 'Josh' Rosza
And at some point in the story:
Paul Wesley as Stefan Salvatore
Zach Roerig as Matt Donovan
