It was wednesday afternoon and Camila had tucked herself into blankets with some hot chocolate, relaxing on the couch when her father and Sofi arrived home. The door opened and the faint breeze immerged into the living room almost immediately, making the girl shiver. Miami had a tropical climate which meant that every now and then a huge storm was on its way to the famous city. It was pouring rain and if you listened closely you could hear thunder announcing its presence far away from here.

"What's for dinner?" Alejandro asked, making her daughter roll her eyes as he wiped away the rain from his face, he looked like he went swimming with all of his clothes on.

"Last time I checked, I'm the child and you're the father," Camila told him. "So what's for dinner?"

Sofi had already escaped the living room to play with her toys and Alejandro tossed his keys onto the table and made his way to the kitchen. He scratched the back of his head. "Do you want to order take out or something?" He asked.

Camila shrugged as her eyes followed the movie she was watching on the TV. She'd seen Dear John a thousand times but according to her this movie was grammy-worthy and never lost its magic.

Her father took that as a yes and called the Chinese restaurant before he announced that he was going to take a shower, leaving his oldest daughter by herself.

Camila sighed and tried to focus on what was happening on the screen but her mind was elsewhere. She was thinking about the Dinah situation and about Lauren, and the more she thought about it the more guilty she felt. Not only hadn't she told the girl she loved about her fight with Dinah, she still lied about prom. Lauren didn't know what went done that night and there was a chance she might never find out. What started with a little white lie to save Lauren from worrying about her escalated quickly into a web of lies. Yes, Camila definitely felt guilty now.

Her visit to Lauren last night didn't go as they both hoped it would be. The excitement of seeing each other and the butterflies in her stomach weren't as present as they used to be. Was Camila losing her feelings for Lauren? No, that couldn't be it. She loved that girl to death.

Camila wanted to blame Dinah for making her doubt her sanity because Dinah was the one who mentioned the unmentionable. She forced Camila to question everything about Lauren and all that had to do with her and that could've been the reason she onconsciously shut her feelings out for the girl.

The green-eyed girl wasn't oblivious, she noticed Camila's different behaviour but chose not to act up on it. Unfortunately, this only fueled Camila's guilt even more.

After a lot of procrastination, at 1AM the girl thought it would be a good idea to go sleep, especially considering she had to go to school tomorrow. She got ready for bed and closed her eyes, waiting until she'd see a pair of green eyes.

"Hey you."

Camila smiled widely as she locked eyes with Lauren and went in for a hug, however the other girl leant forward to kiss her which ended up Lauren's chin bumping against Camila's forehead.

"Auch," The green-eyed girl laughed quietly. "That wasn't awkward at all." She leant in again to give Camila a proper kiss and lied down on a picknick blanket they were standing in front of.

It was a beautiful summer's night, the stars were vivid and shone brightly and every now and then a shooting star appeared out of nowhere, gaining attention from both girls.
