You were going to have lunch at your parents' house like every other Sunday. But this wasn't a typical Sunday. You were bringing your boyfriend of 6 months with you to meet your parents for the first time. You could tell by the quietness of your moose puppy (A/N: MOOPY!) that he was nervous. You on the other hand was buzzing for your parents to finally meet the man you love. Sure, you'd had other boyfriends that your parents have met, loved and then hated after the breakup, but this felt different, Sam was different. He was kinder, sweeter than the others. It just felt right. You found it hard to explain but Sam knew how you felt.

"Sammy, baby, don't be nervous. My parents love everyone that I love" you smiled walking over to the bed and brushing the hair from his face.

"I know but I'm clumsy I'll end breaking something or hurting someone" Sam said looking up, his face full of worry.

"Sam, listen to me. Calm down I love you so they will. Even if you do kill the neighbours cat" you tease but Sam just groans. You pecked his lips and went to go finish your makeup but Sam pulled you back down onto the bed.

"Sammy I have to finish my makeup, or you'll be turning up to my parents house with a troll" you laughed

"Y/N! I'm freaking out here an your worried about trolls" he whined, pouting in the cutest way possible

You leaned down and kissed him properly and he relaxed into the kiss instantly placing his hands on your waist while you had your hands on the back of his neck. You pulled away after a short time.

"Now stop being a big girl or I'll braid your hair and you'll meet my parents like that!" you said reaching out for his hair.

He huffed, half running away from you. No matter how many times you asked, Sam had never let you braid or do anything with his hair apart from run your fingers through it. It didn't look like he was going to give in now. This frustrated you because you want nothing more than to sit there practicing your braids on him with his head in your lap. You were daydreaming about weather that day would finally come when Sam took you by surprise by lifting you up bridal style off the bed. He spun you around while you squealed.

"Okay, okay! Put me down Sammy! I need finish getting ready and you need to put a shirt on!" you said realising that he was half naked.

"Fine" He huffed over dramatically but kissed your forehead anyway before setting you back down at your dressing table. The place you originally were before the whole nerves fiasco started.

Just as you finished your makeup, Sam came out of the bathroom in a tight t shirt under your favourite flannel shirt of his. You stood in awe of your boyfriend. He. Was. Lush.

"Enjoying the view" Sam winked

"Umm yeah I-I just need, yeah umm okay one sec" you stuttered and ran to the bathroom to spray your perfume. You heard Sam chuckle in the background. Ugh you just lived for that sound.

Around an hour later, you and Sam were sitting in the living room on your parents house. Luckily the introduction part went smooth and Sam didn't embarrass himself in front of your parents. Sam and your dad were in a deep conversation about mythology and lore. You had no idea your dad was into all that stuff. Come to think about, you'd never heard Sam mention it but he was sprouting knowledge about mythology and lore like he was an audio book. Weird. You shrugged off the thought as you walked to the kitchen to help your mother with food. The two men hardly notice you leave. You were glad your Sam and your dad were getting along, but you felt lonely. However, this opportunity gave you a excuse to have some serious catch up time with your mum.

"So, do you like him?" you said as you arrived in the kitchen making your mum jump

"Yeah he's wonderful Y/N/N, but next time a little warning before you creep up on a woman like that, I'm getting old" your mum chuckled, taking the meat out of the oven.
