To say you was excited was an understatement. You'd never been to a carnival and Sam was going to take you.

"You look like an excited puppy" Sam chuckled putting his muscly arm around you shoulder. he was so warm so you leant into him as you both walked to the field it was being held in.

You stared in awe at the different lights and rides. It was fascinating to see the rides that you were soon going to be on and the different stalls containing candyfloss and games you were sure were rigged. Sam stared at your eyes filled with excitement. You seriously looked like a kid on Christmas morning. He was thinking about how he got so lucky.

"Can we go on the monkey swings Sam? Oh pleaaasee?" You shouted excitedly over the load music and chatter

"Yeah sure whatever you want sweetheart" Sam smiled as you dragged him to the monkey swings.

You and Sam went on so many rides, you wanted to do all of them before the night was up even the ones that didn't seem that good. You couldn't help yourself going on them. You had two rides left to go on before you were going to win some toys at the next to impossible games. The fun house. Truth be told, you were absolutely terrified of clowns but you wanted to reach your goal of all rides completed so you didn't tell Sam about your fear and cued up to go in. You walked through the entrance and tightened your grip on Sam's hand and he did the same. You could see the terror on his face as you looked up to tell him he was gripping too hard but decided against it. He was shitting himself and so were you. What a pair.

You turned a corner anxiety wracking your chest and there was a clown. He wasn't doing anything, he just stood there with a balloon and a bloody chainsaw. The bastard suddenly let go of his blood red balloon and fired up the already rumbling chainsaw. He sprinted towards you and Sam and you screamed in terror, Sam swiftly picked you up bridal style and sprinted to the exit. You were still pretty shaken up so he sat on the metal stairs of the back of the trailer with you on his lap. You breathing quickly slowed when you were in his arms.

"Shh, its okay princess, no ones going to hurt you, not while I'm here" Sam whispered while rocking you

You looked up at him into his eyes. He was still pretty shaken up too. You kissed him softly and stroked his hair out of his face.

"Why didn't you tell me you were scared?" you laughed

"I could say the same for you" Sam chuckled

"Okay lets agree never to go into the fun house again"

"Agreed"

You stood up and offered your hand out to Sam and he took and secured his hand on your waist. You both smiled at each other and walked over to the Ferris Wheel. The cue was long but it was worth it when you got to the top. The night was clear so you could see the stars shining bright. You pointed out the brightest stars and explained to Sam that they were your Nan and Grandad looking down on you, you'd done this ever since they died. It was comforting more than anything else and a reminder to always make them proud.

"They would've liked you, you know" you said softly leaning your head on Sam's shoulder

"I hope so" Sam replied, taking this as a massive compliment since your grandparents meant so much to you

"Y/N?" he said quietly

You looked up towards him in response.

"I - I love you" he whispered almost inaudible but you heard him. The once tall confident man that took you out tonight was nervous and twiddled his thumbs, staring at his hands.

"Sammy" you started placing your finger under his chin and lifting it up "I love you too"

Sam leaned in and so did you. He brought his hand to your cheek and kissed you. Sparks ignited in your stomach and fireworks exploded around you. Literally, the fireworks show had started but you two weren't looking. You were to busy kissing the love of you life. After a while you both pulled away.

"Why were you so nervous Gigantor?" you giggled

"Last time I told someone I loved them, were in the car that I was going to fix up for her and she just sat there and said nothing. I've just been kind of scared to tell anyone since then" Sam blushed

"Hey, her loss my gain eh?" you smiled

Sam just nodded and you returned your head to his shoulder. He put his arm around you and you two waited in a comfortable silence as the Ferris Wheel returned to the ground. Sam helped you out of the carriage and you made your way over to a shooting game. Sam payed the man and you loaded the rifle. You missed the first shot completely so Sam came up behind you and helped you aim the gun. You found it hard to concentrate with his presence behind you but you hit the can anyway, winning yourself a massive teddy bear. It was the happiest you'd been in months, you had no one else to thank but your Sam Winchester.

It was getting late so Sam walked you home. Your house wasn't that far, literally a ten minute walk. You were kind of bummed that the carnival was so near because you wanted Sam to pick you up in his brothers car. The 1967 Chevrolet Impala, it really was a beauty. Nevertheless, you were more than content to walk home hand in hand with your boyfriend, wrapped up in his warm jacket. He was a gentleman and gave you his jacket when he noticed you were shivering.

You got to you door and shifted awkwardly between your feet.

"Goodnight Sammy" you smiled

"Goodnight Y/N/N" he said leaning in to kiss you, it was a short kiss because you didn't know if your roommate waited up for you to gossip but it was still one of the cutest things that happened that night.

"I love you"

"I love you too"

You put your key in the door and opened it up before stepping inside and closing the door. You leaned against the door and bit you lip, smiling at the nights events.

The night was the epitome of perfection.
