Vics POV

“Woah, Kellin are you okay? What’s wrong? Who’s Matty?” I say looking concerned. Who was he talking about? Wait, Matty? Matty Mullins? I remember that kid the best fuck I ever had. Why would Kellin be upset with him?

Kellin jumps off of me and moves towards the other side of the van buttoning his pants back up. “Vic, I’m sorry. I can’t do this. I thought I was ready but I’m not.” He looks as if he’s seen a ghost. I move towards him trying to provide him comfort. But instead he flinches away. “I’m sorry Vic,” He jumps back up to the driver’s seat “I just can’t” He begins to turn the car on but I stop him.

“Kellin what’s wrong? Why were you yelling at Matty to stop? Were you talking about Matty Mullins the senior?” He gives me a look that proves that it’s the right Matty. I want to know more but I know that’s crossing the line for someone I just met. So I decide to just change the subject.

“So where is the nearest burger joint?” I say with a smile “I’m freakin starved.” Kellin looks at me like he’s so grateful for the subject change.

“Actually I know one that’s like 5 minutes away.” He smiles but the hurt in his eyes is too real. I suddenly regret asking for a hookup, I mean I do want to sleep with him but some part of me wants more. I think I want to actually be with him. I want to be with Kellin.

I look over at him as he starts the car and begin driving. I take time to actually notice every detail on him this time. His black hair in almost to his shoulders blowing in the wind, his lips are plump and pouty. The kind you want to kiss forever. Earlier when we were I never wanted his lips to break off of mine. They tasted on mint chapstick. My favorite. “You know you don’t have to keep looking at me” He says looking at the road.

“Oh, I’m sorry it’s just that there is something about you that makes me want to know more.” I say trying to get him to open up to me.

“Well believe me you don’t want to.” He says never looking at me.

A few minutes go by and I notice we’re pulling into a neighborhood. “Hey,  I thought you aid we were going to a burger place?”

He looks at me with pure amusement “We are. My place, the best joint ever with the world famous chef Mr. Kellin Quinn.” He laughs lightly as we pull into what I’m assuming is his house.

“Cool, so your last name is Quinn? Mines Fuentes you know in case you wanted to know.” I look at him for a response but he is already getting out the car.

Why is he being so hot and cold?

We walk into his house. It’s small and cozy. Just like him. I just want to be under him again. My eyes wander over to the family portraits on the wall. They are of just him and what I assume to be his mom. She’s looks young. She must have been an early teen mom…

“Yeah I know she’s young. Only 30 this year, she had me when she was 14.” Kellin says startling me.

“Sorry I wasn’t judging or anything just curious.” I say trying to fill the awkwardness. “I…um….have to use the bathroom. Can I use yours?”

Kellin turns and points down the hall “Yeah first door on the left, I am going to start on those delicious burgers!” he says with a smile and heads off to the kitchen.

I grin and go down the hallway. Well that couldn’t have been more awkward. I go to the door and open it. It’s not the bathroom. It’s Kellin’s room. I look around and notice all the band posters on the walls. One wall is completely covered. Wow I wish mine could look like this. Well minus they messiness. I’m so tempted to clean up for him. I walk in to check it out more. I scan the room again and notice a notebook that looks like it’s been through Hell.
