Chapter 4

When I get back to the medical chamber, I see Aoi sitting up in his cot. "Good morning Miyako" He says in a husky sleepy voice. "Good morning Aoi" I say fighting back a small blush, "I have some clothes for you. I'll show you where we bathe and then you can put them on" I say. "Alright" He says getting up. It's pretty hard to believe that just last night he was in such bad shape. If I hadn't seen the fight yesterday, I wouldn't know anything was wrong with him.

I take him outside of the base for the first time since he came to us. "Miyako where are we going again?" Aoi asks. "There is a little river north of the base where we bathe. So I'm taking you there. Technically, it's the girls turn to use the river right now, but I'm allowing you to go before Rin and I" I say. "You didn't have to do that. Now I feel bad" Aoi says frowning. "Don't worry its fine. I didn't get the chance to introduce you to everyone yet so I didn't want you to feel uncomfortable showing your naked body to the other guys. Plus you still have the seal on your stomach remember? No one but me knows about the seal or that you have a demon inside you" I say. "Fair enough but I can't hide it forever you know" Aoi says. "We can tell them eventually" I say softly. "So um...I still need to bathe..." Aoi says blushing. "O-oh yeah. I'll just b-be over t-there" I say blushing and hurrying off.

I decide to wait up in a nearby tree for Aoi. I lay down in the tree. I'm so used to sleeping in trees and sleeping on the ground it isn't even funny anymore. I close my eyes and start humming softly. "Miya! What are you doing up there?" I hear someone say down below. I look down and see Rin with her hands on her hips staring up at me. "Oh hey there Rin. I don't know if Aoi Kun is done with the river yet. You should give him another minute of so" I say. "'Kun'? When did you two become so close?" Rin asks suspiciously. I feel my face start to heat up. "We aren't that close Rin" I say averting my gaze. I decide to focus on staring at a flower that is next to Rin instead of her eyes. "Then why are you blushing and not looking me in the eyes? Do you happen to like Aoi?" Rin asks shifting her weight. "N-n-no of course not! He is just another member of my organization. That is all" I say. I take a deep breath. "Yeah whatever you say Miya. But if you don't ask him out I totally will. He is hot as hell" Rin says winking. My blood started to boil. She wouldn't do that. She couldn't do that. "You wouldn't" I sneer. "I wouldn't what Miyako? I mean if you're not interested then he is fair game right? You can't really get mad" Rin says smirking. Damn she really knows how to get under my skin. That asshole. I sigh. "Yeah your right I guess" I say in defeat. "Perfect then. I'll ask him out when we get back to base!" She says smiling. "Miyako? Where are you Miyako?" I hear Aoi call out. "Over here!" I call back. I hop out of the tree and start walking in the direction of the voice leaving Rin behind. "Aoi! Aoi where are you?" I call out. "Miyako?" I hear him call back. I start running in the direction of his voice. "Aoi!" I yell. "Miyako!" He calls back. I'm just running. Trying to get closer to his voice and then BAM! I'm on the floor with a huge pang of pain in my head. I look over at Aoi who is also rubbing his head. "I'm sorry Miyako" He says. "No it's my fault. I'm sorry." I say. I look up and see a hand extended towards me. My face heats up slightly. I take Aoi's hand and look away. "Thanks" I say not looking him in the eyes. "Isn't it your turn to use the river now Miyako? I'll just wait for you like you waited for me" Aoi says smiling. This causes my face to feel even warmer. "U-u-um yeah s-sure. We have to go on a mission today in a town. They are having a festival tonight so I'm going to wear a Kimono. I'll ask one of the guys that aren't going to let you borrow theirs. The point of this mission is to lure our victims into the woods and assassinate them. But to do that, we must blend in first. "Be prepared ok?" I say. "Where should I wait for you Miyako?" Aoi asks. "Just stay right here. I'll be back in 10 minutes" I say.

I walk over to the river. Well I don't see Rin around so I guess I can just be alone. I disrobe and grab the biodegradable soap bought for everyone a few towns over. I also bought shampoo while I was there. I'm a huge stickler for the environment. Anyways, I lather up and then wash off. I never realized how much I like being alone to bathe. For the past 9 months it's been Rin and I. Now I'm alone and it feels great. Then again that could be because I'm a little upset with her.

After washing my hair, I grab my towel and dry off. I put on undergarments and my cloak. I start walking towards where Aoi was supposed to be. I start humming. Crack! I turn to were the sound came from. It sounds like a stick snapping. "Aoi?" I call out. No answer. I start walking towards the sound. Rustle rustle! I hear. I don't have any kunai or shuriken with me so I hope I don't have to confront anyone right now. I continue walking in the direction of the sound. Rustle rustle! There it was again. It seems to be coming from a nearby bush. I creep up to the bush. When I check behind the bush though, nothing is there. Weird I think. "Miyako" I hear someone say right behind me. "Ahhh!!!" I scream. "Miyako its ok. It's just me Aoi" The voice says. I turn around and it is just Aoi. "Aoi don't scare me like that you bastard!" I say punching him. He flies back a couple of yards. Let's just say I kind of take after my mother and grandmother in terms of slight anger issues. My grandmother had Grandpa Naruto to punch, my mother had my father Boruto, and I guess I have Aoi. At this rate it's going to be a never ending cycle.

I look over at Aoi. He is on the ground rubbing his head. "Ok I might have deserved that" He says. "No kidding" I say annoyed. I sigh and start walking. "Come on. We need to start getting ready for the festival tonight. Since I haven't had the time to assign you a partner yet since I was taking care of you, you will be with me tonight and Rin will be with Sora" I say. "Okay" He says. "One rule though. If you I see you lose control of your demon, I will not hesitate to attack" I say in a calm serious voice. "Alright" Aoi says.

When we got back to the base, I walk Aoi to the guys sleeping area. Some of the guys were in there. "Hey Miyako Sama!" one of them said. His name is, Kaoru. "Hiya Miya same!" Another said. His name is Ren. "Hello Miyako sama. Who is this?" last but not least was Akihiko. "Hello boys! This is Aoi" I say, "Aoi this is Kaoru, Ren, and Akihiko" I say pointing to each boy. "N-nice to meet you" Aoi says quietly. "He is a little shy. Anyways, did Sora tell you guys about the mission tonight like I instructed him to?" I ask. "Yeah he did. So we stay get the accomplices and you guys get the main guys right?" Ren says. "Correct Ren Ren. There are a lot of them about 30. I need you guys to take them all out." I say. "You can count on us Miyako Sama" Kaoru says. "I know I can. Anyways, I actually came up here for a reason. I need to ask you boys a favor" I say. "What is it Miyako Sama?" Akihiko asks. "Well I need one of you guys to let Aoi borrow a kimono" I say. "I think he would fit more into Akihiko's kimonos" Ren says. "Alright" Akihiko says. He gets up and goes into his closet. "I think he would look nice in a black kimono" Akihiko says pulling out a beautiful black kimono. "Perfect. Thank you Akihiko" I say smiling. "We will take care of him getting ready, and you can get ready with Rin Sama" Kaoru says. "Okay sounds like a plan. Be ready in an hour. Then we leave" I say leaving.

I go into my room and find Sora already laying out my kimono. "Sora kun you didn't have to do that" I say. "I wanted to Miyako sama" Sora says. I sigh. There is no point fighting with him. Even though I'm in charge, he is still older than me and tries to baby me whenever he gets the chance. "I set out the red kimono. I figured that you would prefer that one" Sora says. "Thank you Sora kun" I say. "No problem. I am here to serve you remember? I'm you assistant" Sora says. "But you're also my friend so don't forget that either" I say.

Knock knock! I open my door and see Rin outside. "Yes Rin?" I ask. "I'm here to help you get ready obviously!" Rin says as if it is the most obvious thing ever. "Umm ok?" I say. "I'll help Miyako Sama with her hair and you help her with her kimono" Sora says. "Sounds like a plan! Now get out for a few minutes so I can help her with her kimono!" Rin says happily.

After 5 annoying minutes of me protesting that I can put in my own kimono and Rin fighting to put it on me, I give up and just let her do it. "Alright Sora Kun it's your turn!" Rin yells. "You know I can do my own hair" I try to protest. "Stop Miya. Let us baby you today" Rin says. I sigh. I guess there really no point in fighting with either of them. Sora comes in and starts doing my hair.

After about 15 minutes, Sora is all done. I look at myself in the mirror and see a pretty red ribbon in my hair along with my favorite flower, cherry blossoms, at the side of my hair. I look beautiful. "What do you think?" Sora asks shyly. "It's beautiful" I say in awe. "Thank you milady" Sora says blushing lightly. "You even added the sakura. You always know what I like" I smile.

Right as Sora was about to respond, Rin bust through the door. "Come on you two! We have to get going!" She says then leaves. I sigh and get up. I slip on my shoes. "I want you and Rin to be very careful. Remember these are still S class ninja" I tell Sora as we leave my room. "Understood" He says.
