Chapter 9

Romans Birthday - part one

Waking up I could hear nothing the sound of silence. I shifted back and forth thinking of today. I could do as I pleased and for one day not get in trouble. I wanted to just run and play. It sounded to exhilarating. Then my day dream was interrupted. Why was it so quiet? It has never been this quiet before. I jumped out of bed and ran to look for my family. No one was there. I ran into the living area.
"Surprise!" I jumped and threw a punch. Hitting just air.
"What!" I saw my family laughing at me as I blushed.
"Happy Birthday Roman!" I looked around to see everything I could ever want. Desserts and boxes everywhere. I was in awe. I ran to the table to look for my family.

I opened my eyes.

I was on the floor of my pod. I looked over to the side of my head and saw my bed. Realizing that it was all just a dream. I heard a bang and sat up and looked around.

I've got to find Sophia.

I ran out of my pod and saw everyone was running. Not even thinking I found I was running to Sophia's room. The hallway seemed to continue forever. Bumming into every Atrian and every object in my way. I opened the door to Sophia's room and looked inside. It was quite unlike the pods outside. When I looked under the bed I saw my baby sister in a ball and with her eyes closed. Every bone in my body willed me to protect her and no one else. I grabbed her out from under the bed and slung her on my back. I've given her a "piggy back ride"many times but never like this. My mind was spinning. How did she get under the bed? Was she scared? Is she hurt? I felt like I was in a war. I  heard
my heart beat in my ears and felt  Sophia's pounding against my back. I looked for my parents everywhere but there was chaos. Every Atrian was yelling and pushing just to find a way out of the pods. I heard another bang and got thrown back, Sophia ended up several inches away from me. All I could hear was ringing. My mind was yelling to get up to Sophia but I tried to move and I couldn't. I felt as if I was drowning. Before I could do anything I felt my body be lifted up and my head limply fell backwards. I opened my mouth to scream.

HELLO! MYSTERIOUS ATRIAN - WHO IS CARRYING ME, PUT ME DOWN!

My voice was non existent. As much as I tried, I had no sound. Who was taking me? Why would they take me? Have I done something to them? Am I being taken? My head raced with thought after thought. Everything started to darken. I looked over to the side one more time I saw my baby sister be picked up and her capture followed us. I wanted to warn her and tell her to fight and find a way to Mother and Father. My voice continues to fail me once again. Darkness was closing in. I know saw more dark than light. I fought harder and told myself over and over Sophia needs me.

Come on Roman get off of this Atrian and get to your baby sister.

I closed my eyes just long enough to blink when everything went dark. I did not even hear a sound. I just relaxed and gave into my slumber.

Hello everyone who is still here I'm amazed how you made it this far 😂. I would like to apologize I know I said some updates where coming when I started bed rest. I had planed on it but the surgery was bigger than expected. I have just have been reading I would love to know some of your guys favorites! If there are any story's that you guys think I should read please let me know. Also I have the next part of the story done I just would like to know what time you want me to update.
