Chapter 17

Alexie's Point of View

Kalaunan umalis na rin si Dale bandang hapon dahil may lakad din ito. Pero hindi naman s'ya agad umalis sa hindi ko alam na kadahilanan, usually a guy like him won't stay so long just for a girl like me, although we're both rich, I still don't think that could be a good reason, maraming babae ang nagkakandrapa sa atensyon n'ya na ngayon ay sa akin n'ya ibinibigay and as a result I was contemplating for his reason.

''Hindi mo ba ako tatanungin kung saan ang lakad ko? Aren't you?" Medyo nangunot ang noo ko dahil nagtataka, I don't know why I did not ask him where his whereabouts is, pero hindi ba ay hindi naman talaga dapat?

We're just fake girlfriend-boyfriend cause maybe he did not succeed having revenge on his ex-girlfriend, iyon naman talaga ang plano naming dalawa, ka'ya wala dapat akong pakealam sa iba pa n'yang gagawin.

''What were you thinking?" He asked.

''Why I would ask about what you're going to do? Or what your errands is?''

He just smirked at me, hindi ko alam kung bakit o ano ang nasa isip n'ya.

''Kasi boyfriend mo ako.'' Seryoso n'yang sagot dahilan para mailihis ko ang mga mata ko. Hindi ko alam bakit parang kinikilig ako sa sinasabi n'ya, at wala din akong ideya kung seryoso ba talaga s'ya o hind isa pagkakabanggit n'ya niyon. Hindi ako nakapagsalita.

''Bye, I gotta go, see you.''

Buong maghapon kong inisip ang mga katagang sinabi ni Dale, when it gets too much I decided to read books as many as I can until the midnight comes, I was able to concentrate of what I was reading, pero madalas ay hindi ko mapigilan ang isipin si Dale.

Pagkarating ng 6 o'clock ay minabuti ko na ang mag-ayos dahil maya maya lamang ay darating na sina Ate, Mom at Dad from work, good thing they we're able to come despite of their hectic and complex schedules, bata pa lamang ako ay alam ko nang hindi madali ang kanilang mga trabaho, nililibang ko na lamang ang sarili noon hanggang ngayon sa mga libro para mabawasan maging malungkot.

Kanina pa dumating ang dress in a box from Ate, it's a designer's brand and is surely costs a fortune. Wala ako masyadong interest na sukatin agad iyon dahil hindi ko din naman interest ang mga damit pero kahit papaano ay alam kong layered laced dress ang style nito, not bad for a senior high student like me.

Dumating din ang make-up artist ni Mom, they just took thirty minutes to do my make-up and hairstyle since I requested for a simple style.

Matapos kong mag-ayos ay tumungo ako sa bintana tanaw ang aming malaking gate. My smile grew bigger when I saw four black SUV for security team and blue sedan which I knew where my dad and mom is.

Dahan dahan akong tumungo sa grand staircase to meet them both, pagkababa ay may ilang men in black ang umalalay sa akin. My dad's a senator as to why he has this many guards.

''Dad, Mom!'' I kissed and hugged them both, dumating din si Axel para sumalubong.

''My everything!'' Dad said.

''I missed you both, mga mahal ko.''

Masaya ang puso ko ngayong gabi o tuwing dumarating ang araw na ito, ang araw na ngayon lang kami naku-kumpleto.

''I'm so glad, you both made this night for me, po!''

Sumunod nang dumating ang black BMW ni Ate, our family had a fun greetings before going to the restaurant where we're celebrating my another milestone academically. I couldn't be happier seeing my family, having this get-together with them once in a while. Hindi palagi ang celebration na ito ka'ya masayang masaya ako kapag nagiging posibleng ma-kompleto kami.

We decided to have our brunch-celebration in a fancy restaurant where we usually dine-in, at Lemuria Fine Dining. There were proximately six guards outside the restaurant. Hindi din gaanong crowded ang place, my dad needs privacy together with us, so we decided to dine here.

I still indeed fascinated by the ambience of this resto, its interior is good, complimented with the warm lights. Elegant, A classic, old-money, well-travelled and highly cultured vibe. They served French cuisine which is subtle but is sensational.

''I really liked it here, the place's so relaxing.'' Ate exaggeratedly said, we laughed the way she said it.

''I'm sure you do!'' Mom said, we laughed again.

After some chit-chats we decided to look for the menu. We ordered the usual, but we added some we did not tried before.

Matapos ang pag-order ay ang saktong pag datingan ng mga bagong customer, but to my surpised they're not the customers I did not know.

''Dale?'' I whispered out of nowhere.

Medyo malapit ang table namin sa entrance, so it's easy for me to recognize him and his family. Parang kailangan lang nuong unang araw kong nakilala ang family n'ya. I ditched their breakfast just to run-away from Dale.

He suddenly gazed his brown eyes where our table is, and where my eyes are. Our eyes met and so my heart beat making me feel uneasy. I don't know how to react, o hindi ko lang alam kung tutugon din ba ako sa magagaan n'yang ngiti sa akin. Mas lalo akong naguluhan nang kumindat s'ya sa akin.

He talked with his parents and seems like he's telling them where we are. At hindi nga ako nagkamali dahil patungo ang lakad nila sa table namin.

Sudden feeling of shyness deep inside when they walked in front of us, although I tried so hard to act calm. Hindi ako usually kinakabahan ng ganito, but it was Dale's family, hindi ko mapigilan ang kabang nararamdaman.

I just wished for a peaceful night. Hindi ko naman sinasabing hindi payapa ang pamilya ni Dale, I just want to get nervous like this.

Nabaling ang atensyon ko sa dalawang bata. ''Hi, Drina!'' Axel greeted the youngest of the Del Valles.

''Hello, Axel! Nice to see you again.'' They both waved their hands with each other. Sa kabilang banda naman ang pagpapakilala ng aming mga magulang.

''Good evening, Sen. Corpuz, Mrs. Corpuz.'' Dale's dad, John Daryl, the new coach of soccer team in San Beda University, our school.

''Mom, dad. Alexie's family, she is a friend of mine.'' Pagpapakilala sa akin ni Dale with a genuine and warm smile.

''Ohh, you seems ring a bell. Have I met you before, hija?" All their eyes were on me now, waiting for me to speak. Hindi pwedeng banggitin sa usapang ito na sakanila ako natulog!

I looked with Dale, telling him like a morse code he has to save me with this kind of situation. My family might misunderstand the reason I met Dale's family. Paniguradong magdududa sila dahil nakitulog ako sa bahay ng lalaking ito dahil sa kalasingan. I have never done such things like those before.

''Yes, po tita-''

''Uhm, mom yes. I was doing a science project with her then,'' Napaisip naman ang ginang na si Mrs. Aika Del Valle.

''Mrs. and Mr. Del Valle? your table's ready as of this moment, we apologized for keeping you wait.''

I was saved by the bell when the restaurant's manager accommodated them. Nakahinga ako ng maluwag dahil kinakabahan akong malaman nila mom and dad, especially my sister kapag nalaman nila kung paano naming pinansin ni Dale ang isa't isa.

Those memories still fresh as a flowers that oftentimes rent free inside my head.
