The car ride was... pleasant.
They weren't afraid to be near me. Nearly every person at our school is afraid to be near due to the rumor that spreads like wild fire; STD's.

I absolutely do not have any. The people that I... 'assist', are carefully chosen. I don't just have sex with random people. My motive might be selfish, but I'd never just sleep around. I have morals.

The boys were incredible. Let me elaborate;

Luke was adorable. You would assume from his quiet image around school that he has literally no sense of humor and he'd be incredibly smart. He is smart, but when he's with the other boys, he becomes this bubbly, little penguin. He was somewhat little, I could sense that a growth spurt will be amongst the boy, rather soon. Just in the past 5 months, it looks like he's gained an inch.

Calum was cheeky, I'll give him that. He liked to turn every god damned sentence to something sexual if he could. He had this fringe, along with the three other boys, that you could tell bugged him. If he and I had any better of a friendship, I'd suggest a hair change. That really wasn't my place at the time. He just seemed unhappy with the haircut.

Ashton. Jesus Christ, Ashton. I'd known him for about all but minutes and he had this joyful exterior, which allows him to push on through whatever it is he's going through. I say on the exterior because you could tell he'd seen some things just from his eyes. He'd taken care of some things he wishes he hadn't.
I could see it. I could feel it. I could empathize with it.

There's a difference between empathy and sympathy.
Sympathy is assuming you know what someone's going through.
Empathy is really knowing the awful bitterness of what's happening for someone.
I can see Ashton's bright eyes in the pitch black room that we're stuck in, and maybe he can see my hazel orbs. I pray to every god out there that he can, so that we can get into the daylight together.

Out of all of them, Michael changed the least around his friends. Maybe he considered me to be 'one of the guys', so he didn't have to be all shy around me. I sure hoped so. Him wanting the same favor that everyone asks for is not something I happen to really need.

As I said before, these boys weren't afraid to be next to me. There was five of us in the five seater car, so if they were uncomfortable, they sure didn't have a chance to show it.
Ashton drove.
Luke and his daddy long legs sat shotgun.
Michael sat in the backseat to my left.
And Calum to the right.
I sat in the middle seat.
Me.
A small (blonde boy; hehe Ashton) girl.
Sitting in between the chaos of 4 teenage boys.
How fun.
Please note my violent sarcasm.

"Penguins are much better than dogs." Luke scoffed, seemingly pissed.

"Penguins are cute." Of course, Ashton will agree. So polite.

"Come on, Luke. Puppies are far more practical than penguins. Penguins are little aggressive runts. Puppies are so cheerful and cute. They're like Ashton but better." Giggled Calum.

"Puppies are cute, but screw off, Calum! I'm very cute, thank you very much."

Luke placed a hand on Ash's shoulder, and spoke, "I think you're cute."

Ash giggled, "Thank you, Lukey. Penguins are obviously better."

"You little-" Cal gasped, "That's cheating! Puppies should win-"

I was snapped out of their boisterous conversation from a whisper to my left.

"What's that smile on your face for?" Michael giggled poking my knee.

I shrugged, giggling back, "They're just so lively. It's cute."

"No."
"No?"
"No."
"What the bloody hell does no mean?"
"No means that you will not get with one of my mates." He spoke, suddenly serious.
"Why on earth would I get with one of them?"
"You just called them cute."
"Because they are cute. In a very giggly, arguments about penguins sort of way."
"They are pretty cute."
"Oh my God, I ship it-"
I was interrupted by Luke in the front seat, "Cashton all the way!"

I looked up to see him pulling his daddy long legs to his torso, with his nose pointing to the ceiling.

"I'm so lanky." He pouted.
"It's okay. I still love you, my Lukey." We all giggled at Calum's adorable sentence.

Ashton spoke through his giggles, "My favorite ship is Cake. Cake Cake Cake- oh look, we're here."

We had pulled up to a McDonald's, and all 4 boys bursted out of the car excitedly. Luke was especially excited to stretch out daddy long legs, only for Michael to leap onto his back for a piggy back ride.

"Umph Jesus Christ Michael" Luke complained but still pulled Mike's legs around his torso.

"Want a ride?" Ashton giggled as we walked alongside each other.
Laughing, I politely declined, stretching out the shirt I was wearing, which suddenly felt far too tight.

"If you don't take the piggy back ride, I'm going to pick you up and carry you everywhere." Ash threatened.

"I'm really fine, Ash."
If I'm being totally honest, I have weight issues. Once upon a time (a/n; not long ago, I was a hoe. Well this bitch is still a hoe. She got den flowers. Okay bai), someone said they cared about me, but told me several things. Like how 'tubby' I am. I eat, but I hate myself afterwards. Flowers make me feel better because someone doesn't find

Suddenly he hugged me from behind, tossing me over my shoulder, but somehow how allowing his mouth near my ear,
"You're not big. Don't think that way."

I huffed and let out a puny, "okay sorry".
He giggled setting me down, crouching so I could jump on his back. I complied, leaping up, surprisingly easily.
He carried be all the way down, refusing to place me down, even when we were ordering. The woman working laughed happily, watching our little group.

Did I call us a 'little group'?

We weren't even friends yet.

God I'm pathetic.

Each of the boys ordered, rather large meals, as well. I just got a snack wrap because hunger was not with me, that day.

I had to go pick up the food since the boys got into yet another debate about hi or hey. Giggling at their weirdness as I walked up to the counter, I noticed the woman who took our order, who was smiling at me. I smile widely back, reaching down to grasp the sides of the several trays.

"Here, let me help." She spoke happily, coming around the counter and grabbing two of the four trays.

"Oh, thank you so much."

"It's my pleasure. I can't believe not one of those boys came to help you."

We giggled together, "I know, right? Such a pain."

Once we were at the table, the food placed down gently, she stopped all the smiling and giggling, speaking out bluntly to everyone, "You fucked my brother and broke his heart last night, you're seriously a bitch. Go kill yourself, please."

Tears, for some reason pooled in my eyes as apologies came out of my mouth, attempting to reach her but she just yelled back saying how it wouldn't make her brother shut up. I bit my lip, making my way through the place to the bathroom, which was rather difficult with the tears.

My ass was firmly sat on the floor in the corner of the largest stall. I sat there before the short quiet moments ended and a blurry figure rushing over to me, sitting down and awkwardly wrapping arms around me.

"Sorry. I'm awkward when it comes to comforting but I can hold you, or hug you. I'm not very good at the talking part, that's Ashton-" Michael's words finally stopped when I leaned into him and held his body tightly.

His arms were surprisingly strong, and his hands went up and down my back as he pulled me onto his lap, mumbling quiet apologies into my hair.

This was the day I learned my new favorite thing; his hugs.
