*Parker's POV*
The day that I spent four years obsessing over had finally arrived, and I couldn't have felt more happy. Everything would change. With my new plan, I wouldn't get slut shamed anymore. Where I was going, no one would be judging me for the past that I couldn't control.
I strolled right across that fucking stage, taking my diploma, shaking hands with people that didn't remember my name, then stepped off, not bothering to look for the parents that I knew would not be there. I had watched Ashton cross the stage, watched him go meet with his family, and then he immediately came over to hug me.
"Parks, we did it."
"I can't believe it. We finally get to leave." I whispered my words, because he had his plans with the boys, and going out own ways was a hard concept to grasp.
He pulled away from our hug and looked me in the eyes, "Who else knows about what you're about to do?"
"You and Esmeralda."
"He doesn't even know?" He bit his lip, knowing what he just told me. He told him.
"Ashton Irwin, did you tell him?"
"Maybe, kinda, a little." His voice squeaked higher and higher with every word.
"ASHTON! He's not supposed to know- okay. I need to go talk to Esmeralda. Tell your family I say hi, okay?" I began walking away but he quickly pulled me into a tight hug.
"Just in case I never see you again." His voice whispered before letting me go.
I sadly waved, knowing that he might me right, and that might've been the last time that we see each other.
*That night*
I had gone to see Esmeralda to make an offer. I was moving to America, and her kids said that they'd sign her out of the home. She was in perfect condition to travel, and she always talked about how much she had missed California. That was exactly where I had been planning to move.
"Ezzy, can we talk?" I immediately said, taking off the heels that my mother insisted that I wear.
"We are talking, smart one."
"Will you come to California with me? I have everything set. Your kids said okay, the home's doctor said you're healthy. Only if you want to go."
"Parker, as much as I would love that, I could not intrude on your-"
"Please? I can't go alone. All of my friends are either in a band or can't leave. You said that you'd love it, please just say yes. You're like my mum or grandmother or something. Please?" I began giving her the puppy dog eyes, which she responded with a glare and giving me the finger.
"You, my child, suck ass. You know that I can't just reject those puppy eyes."
"Does that mean that you'll go?"
"I gue-"
"YES!" I began giggling since she still held up that middle finger, proudly even.
"Shut the fuck up, giggles. Go home and rest. You said we're leaving tomorrow and you shouldn't be tired when experiencing that place." She was right. I had been exhausted to the point that my makeup could barely cover up the dark circles. I nodded, saying good night and heading home.
Sleep came very easy that night, knowing that I wouldn't be alone in a new country was exciting. For a few minutes, I heard light tapping on my bedroom window, not thinking of anything of it, I slipped into a deep sleep. It was probably just rain or a tree branch.
*Michael's POV*
The window wasn't opening like it used to. I know she had to wake up early, but it was only eleven o'clock. I threw one last pebble at the window that was reachable with my hands, sighing that it was still completely shut.
I quickly dashed to the front of her house, leaving the two flowers on her doorstep.
I made the mistake of getting drunk while mad at her, and gave it up. For a nerd at a party. I told this quiet girl at a party that we could have sex, with drunk intentions to take someone else's flower, but she wasn't a virgin. She felt bad and gave the physical flower back, telling me to just give it to 'that girl from school' that I was really close with. Parker.
So that's what I was doing. I wanted to give her the flower in person, but that wasn't option so I'd just ensure that she got it before leaving.
If I'm being completely honest, it was really hard to not cry. I just wanted to hug her and have her tell me that she wouldn't leave. That clearly wasn't happening, so I simply walked home, hoping that she'd see the note that I left, and maybe change her mind.
