Chapter 14
(Aaron's pov)
Five days went by. Sara and I became very close. Tonight was going be her last night here. Sara was leaving in the morning. Of course, she asked me to come with her, but I told her that I had to deal with my father. She understand and didn't ask again.
That night, we were snuggling on her hotel bed. She had her hands on my chest, I had mine wrapped around her waist. I looked into her sleepy eyes. I pulled her a bit closer, "Sara?" She moaned. "When you leave, will you be forgetting me?" She, suddenly, opened her eyes.
"Aaron, I would never. I love you." She kissed my cheek.
"I love you, Sara." I kissed her forehead. She smiled while falling asleep. About 15 minutes passed when my phone started to ring. I quickly tried to answer it without waking up Sara. "Hello?"
"Aaron?"
"Father? I thought you weren't calling me ever again?"
"I wouldn't if it wasn't important."
"What is it?"
"Sam decided to tell her mother and grandparents that your guy's marriage has been cancelled."
"Yeah, so?"
I could hear him struggle with his words. "I need the wedding to continue, because if it doesn't, then the businesses will fall."
"How so?"
My father quickly explain that if I didn't marry Sam that he's business will be destroyed. Why would I care? He told me that Sam's father was a very important asset to the Carlton family, and that he had been keep the Carlton businesses from being corrupt.
Dropping to my knees, I sighed. "What?"
"You must marry Sam. I'll let you back on the family registration."
I became silent and looked at Sara, who was silently sleeping with her hands tucked under her cheek. "What about Sara?"
"What about her?"
"Will I be able to see her again?"
I could hear him hiss through the phone. "No, you will marry Sam without any contacted with Sara and anyone else who you have feelings for."
Muddy and dark tears came down, "Alright, on one condition."
"Yes?"
"I want to spend the last few hours with Sara."
He breathed heavily, "If you marry Sam as soon as Sara leave?"
During this call, my wet eyes never left, "I'll do it. Will you have Sam or someone plan it?"
"It's already ready to go."
I took a deep breath, "Alright, sir. Did you email me where this will be?"
"I did, indeed."
"I'll see you there 3 o'clock?"
"Thank you, Aaron."
I set my phone on the bedside table and looked at Sara. The bright moonlight shinned through the window onto her cheek. Her lips curved into a smile. "I'm so sorry, Sara. I love you with all my heart, but tomorrow, will be the last day you will ever see me. I'm sorry." I kissed her cheek. I got out of the bed and went into the other room.
In the small corner, a loveseat sat. With the similarities of this seat to my eyes was remarkable. I sat in it, legs up into a ball. Tears started to fall. I was going to let go of Sara for Sam. Sam, someone I never had interested in.
In minutes, I created a river of tears. Rocking back and forth in the seat, I just kept repeating, "I'm sorry."
Hopefully, I'll be able to hide this from Sara. I hope Sam knows of this plan with her father and mine.
