Stevie arrived back in Toronto and headed for her hotel room. She was exhausted, and didn't really want to be in the city, but she knew there were only two more days until the Jays were back in town and she had work to do to get ready. She sent off a few emails and went to bed.

The next day, Stevie went into the office to get prepared for the homestand. Allie had headed out of town to go visit her family, and Stevie was kind of looking forward to a night of quiet to herself. After a long day at work, she headed home. She unlocked her room and groaned, she was pretty tired of living in a hotel, but her condo still wasn't ready yet so she had to deal with it for a while longer. She decided she better finish unpacking from her trip, as she had been procrastinating, and had only put away her carry on items. As she began unpacking the remaining bag, she burst into laughter when she saw a bat sitting at the top of her duffle bag. "Josh you little sneak." She read the note, "Thought you should keep this. Nice dingers Newb."

She placed the bat next to her bed and heard a knock at the door. She wasn't expecting any visitors and looked through the peephole. There was a man standing there with a clipboard and he was holding up a card to the door. "I'm just here to do an inspection." Stevie paused feeling a little uneasy. Wouldn't they have called ahead? She unlatched the door then pulled it open slightly. "Hi Miss, I'm just here to do some inspections on the room, we need to do some water pressure testing." Stevie stood there frozen. "I have a card here, see." He held it up to her. "I um, look no one told me someone was coming so maybe you could have them call me and come back tomorrow?" She asked. Stevie was pretty street smart, even though she had grown up in a small town, she wasn't about to let some stranger come into her room, even if it seemed legitimate.

Later that night, after the game, Josh threw on his sweats after getting out of the shower. He normally dressed much nicer leaving the locker room but he knew he was just heading back to his hotel room. His teammates were packing up as he checked his phone, seeing that there were a dozen missed calls. He checked his voicemail, hearing a frantic Allie insisting that he call her back immediately. After getting her on the phone he ran over to Russell who was throwing on a hoodie. "Russ, Russ, fuck dude." He put Allie on speaker, not noticing that Gibby was standing just around the corner.
