It was the day of Russell's charity poker tournament and he was feeling a little nervous. He didn't have any of the normal nerves, about the event itself, the organization of it, how the day would go. He knew that Stevie was taking care of it. He had seen her in action numerous times and he knew how good she was at her job. His nerves were centred around the words he hadn't been able to tell her. It had put him on edge over the past few days. There was no one in the world that he felt more comfortable with....but the realization that he had come to nights before, when she had first moved into her new place....he hadn't talked to her about it. He didn't know how. He had tried to reveal it to her in some heroic, story book fashion by showing up at her apartment but wasn't able to follow through. He had tried to tell her the next morning when they woke up in each other's arms after their first time together, and he still couldn't.

He arrived at the ball park that night, the entire field transformed into a casino. Stevie had forced him to stay away so that it was a surprise when he got there. He strolled around the field, watching as everyone made their way in. Russell sighed happily when he saw all of his favourite snacks on the trays that the 'casino girls' were carrying around. There were mini enchiladas, meatballs and all kinds of finger foods that represented so many of the meals that she had made him. He grinned as he saw all of the little touches. The number 55 was engraved on all of the glasses that people were sipping from. There were musicians playing saxophones, instantly reminding him of his father. It was all that he could do to stop himself from getting emotional. The event was a complete reflection of how well she knew him, how much attention she paid, how happy she wanted to make him. It was overwhelming at every turn, as all of the details were revealed.

Russell pulled himself together and greeted the players and guests as he made his rounds, watching as everyone got situated at their tables. Everyone was commenting on how great it looked, how well organized everything was. The entire time, Russell was avoiding looking at Stevie. All of her bosses were there, and many of the executives from the organization. He didn't know if he could maintain the facade that he wasn't completely enamored with her. But when it was time to do formal remarks, he had to put on the act as Stevie approached him and briefed him on the speaking notes. He nodded, smiling knowingly at her. "This is even better than I had imagined, Stevie, really, you've done a fantastic job." Russell said as he shook her hand. He shook hands with her bosses and echoed his compliments to them. After he finished his remarks, he paused with the microphone. "Lastly, I just want to say that I in no way deserve credit for how incredible this event is tonight. This is all thanks to the charity lead, Stevie, please wave." He paused, seeing her blush as she waved to the crowd. "She did an amazing job, so all of those compliments your paying to me, please be sure to pass them along to her. She's the brains behind this entire operation." Applause carried through the park and Stevies bosses gave her a thumbs up, congratulating her.

After Russell finished his remarks, Stevie approached him. "Mr. Martin, if you can come with me for a brief moment, we'll review the plan for the rest of the evening and then you'll be free to play." Stevie said. Russell walked behind her, admiring her curves as her hips swayed infront of him. He bit his lip and shook his head, trying not to stare. They made their way down into the clubhouse. Stevie had one of the trainer's rooms set up as a mini office. She motioned for him to go in front of her, then walked in and shut the door behind her, leaning up against it and smiling at him as he noticed the complete privacy that the room held. He grinned, quickly closing the distance between them and pressing his lips against hers. It felt so refreshing to finally be able to hold her, he wrapped his arms around her body, touching his tongue to hers, hearing her moan softly under his touch. "Mmm baby you look so fine tonight this little casino dealer's outfit it's driving me fucking nuts." He whispered into her ear and brought his mouth back to hers, kissing her passionately. "I'll be dealing at the championship table, get your ass out there and win so that you'll be there at the end of the night." She groaned into his ear. She smacked him on the ass, turned to open the door, and pushed him back out into the dugout. He smiled, turning to look back at her. She winked at him as he made his way back out onto the field
