Everyday after Monday morning Monroe kept a lookout for the man, hoping they would cross paths again but that had failed to happen. It had been a week since they bumped into each other and still no luck.

Today was Monday and she was slowly losing hope in ever seeing him again. But nonetheless she walked to work once again and went to her office and started working on her article.

"Walker, Mr. Lewis needs you for a second," Michelle said popping her head into the office and then walking out.

She groaned; not fancying the idea of having to get up. She took her book with her too and went to go see him. "Mr. Lewis, Michelle said you wanted to see me," she said quietly as she entered his office.

"Yes, I just wanted to know how your article was going."

"It's going okay..."

He slowly nodded his head. "Um well okay that's good have it on my desk by Friday."

And all could do was quietly whisper an "okay" because her nerves often got to her as she started biting her nails; a horrible habit that she had. "Is there anything else you need or do you think I could go?"

"I think that's about it oh and also that on Wednesday I changed your schedule from eight in the morning to eleven if that's alright with you, it's just that Wednesday is our less busiest day."

"Yeah that's absolutely fine in fact-"

However she was interrupted by a knock on the door. "Jesse I have the files you left at your house," a raspy British voice said and immediately she turned around wondering if it was just her imagination or if he was standing only a few feet behind.

His green, troubled eyes locked with her blue ones and it was like the world just froze for a second. He was partly shocked due to thinking that he'd never see her.

The pale skinned beauty with stories that littered every inch of her body.

As she thought the same.

"Walker, You okay?" Mr. Lewis asked her and she could only nod her head turning back to him for a second before looking back at the boy with the past she had yet to figure out.

"Yeah um I-I fine-"

"Okay I'm leaving now," he interrupted her but it was only because he was lost in the trance she seemed to set for him and he couldn't let her in was the only thing on his mind as he left carelessly.

"Can I go too?" Monroe asked and Jesse nodded his head as walked out without he could say a word, trying to catch up with the man of trouble and inked stories.

"Hey!" She yelled, not recognizing her own voice since she never yelled. However he just kept walking making her take off her heels and started walking faster.

"Hey guy with the curls, I'm talking to you!" He stopped in his tracks for a second and shook his and turned around.

She walked up closer to him and took a few deep breaths before talking. "Did you.... did you not hear me calling you..."

He shrugged. "I heard you."

"And you didn't think about stopping so I could talk to you?" She questioned still out of breath.

"You know I did think about it for a split second but then I asked myself, why should I care?" He rolled his eyes and continued walking. And it genuinely seemed like it didn't care.

But little did she know that he really shouldn't care because he was more vulnerable than everyone thought- than she thought.

"You know Mr. Lewis?" She asked randomly even though he was walking away from her.
