Monroe woke up in her bed, slightly confused because the last thing she remembered was being in Harry's car.
Her eyes weren't swollen and she didn't feel tired anymore like she did earlier but it still didn't help the fact that she was clueless as to how she got here.
She sat up and checked her phone to see seven o'clock and sat up checking her surroundings before she checked her wrist which was semi-bruised.
"Harry!?" She called out, waiting to hear a response but to her avail, there was no sound.
She got up from her bed and checked the washroom since that would be the only other place he'd be but the lights were turned off and the door was open.
She sighed and went back to her bed to get her phone. She dialled Harry's number but it went straight to voicemail. She groaned already frustrated and remembering the current events that happened which led her to be frustrated in the first place.
She changed into a tank top and shorts and made a cup of tea. She wandered to her shelf of books, looking at each and every one of them. She read the titles of each book as best as possible
To kill a mockingbird came to view and as she reached for it, her door unlocked and opened which caused her to jump.
"Shit," she cursed under her breath picking up the literature she dropped, putting it away to see Harry coming from behind her.
"What you got there?" He asked her, carrying a box in his hands.
"To kill a mockingbird," she told him.
"Are you going to read it?"
She shrugged. "Maybe not." She took a sip of her tea which tasted a bit bitter but calming. She liked to taste the natural flavour of teas as a lot of people preferred to have it with honey, which tended to annoy her.
"How come? It's a good book." He insisted and she frowned.
"Because it took me so long to finish the Great Gatsby, imagine how long it'll take for me to finish this book or the next...." she trailed off.
"I mean I think it's worth it. It'll improve your reading and writing skills," he recommended but she just shrugged and walked to the couch, Harry strolling behind her. He passed her keys which he took so he would be able to leave come back.
"So what did you get?" She asked him, suddenly smelling something that caused her appetite to rumble.
"Samosas," he said opening the box and she tilted her head sideways. "I hope you like Indian food."
"Never had it," she said. "What's in it?"
"It's a crispy outside with potatoes and peas and other vegetables inside. Very delicious, especially with this sweet sauce."
She picked one up looking at it and taking a bite. It was very spicy but overall it was very tasty. "It's good," she said with her mouth full. She dipped it in the sauce which made it even better.
She caught Harry staring at her from the corner of her eye and as she looked up he looked down. She smiled, a subtle smile so he wouldn't notice.
She never knew how much a person can make you cry at one thing and smile at another.
After she finished three she announced that she was full and put the rest in her fridge. She sat back down as she annualized Harry. His eyes remained on the marble floor as his hands clasped together. His bottom lip was in between his teeth and for once she could say he looked nervous and she was afraid to ask why.
