“Really..?” His tail began to wag from left to right slightly, he was a little glad to hear that from her, especially since it meant that he was not to be killed by her. “Why.. Why though?” The wolf began to grow curious, why would she care? Out of all the angels out there, why was this one… Unique?
‘She is Life and Death’
The words echoed into Velius’ mind, almost as if the dark lord himself was telling him personally.. He now had an idea of his own as to why it was, and it was a very shocking thought…
Alazne looks at the water “... I don't know why, if i'm being honest here… i've never known why. “ she moves closer to the water as the puts her feet in it “... Being a angel i'm not supposed to trust demons … Or thing there is a beauty in what you demons do…. But i do ….” she sighs and lays back very confused “...i'm not like other angels and i like it … But i hate it at the same time…… does that make any sense?
His head nodded slowly. It was so obvious!
“Alazne.” He said, slowly shifting back into his human form. He stood up and went up to her slowly. “You are not an angel…” He held out a hand to her to help her stand up. “I can explain it.” His facial expression was very serious.
Alazne looks up at him confused but slowly takes his hand and stands up”.... How am i not a angel …. My mother was an angel … So .. So how am i not an angel? “ she slowly rubs her arm as she looks down nervously but is so confused now she didn't know what to think.
“She might have been an angel, but… You are life and death.” Velius placed a chin in thought and studied her appearance with his red eyes. He no longer hid them now that she knew who and what he was. “I can’t believe i’m saying this, but based on what I am feeling and how he spoke to me.. I have a feeling you are the daughter of a powerful evil being.. The almighty Satanus..” He closed his eyes, feeling that he was right. ‘Her.. The daughter of the dark one..’ “Perhaps your ‘god’ knew this was coming, and sent my lord down to hell, away from his daughter.”
Alanze looks at velius “.... Or you trying to say that i'm both angel and demon?” she starts laughing thinking he is joking but after a few minutes she looks at him and sees he's being serious “.... You're not joking are you?” she looks at the water in shock “... But how …. My father is died …. He died a few years after my mother did ….. “ she starts messing with her hair anxiously from confusen.
Velius stared at her as she laughed, blinking from how oblivious she was to everything. He then widened his eyes. “Dead? Angels.. Can die?” He scoffed, not believing it. “What, don’t tell me your ‘God’ banishes his angels.. I thought only satan himself did that to his demones.” He then goes to her side and stared at her curioiusly.
Alanze looks at the water as she rubs her arms “.... No … my mother died …. While really she was murdered ….. Not that any one else will agree with me ….” she sits down putting her legs in the water.
“How do Angels.. .Get murdered?” The question was serious,Velius wanted to know if it was possible, especially since he was a demon. The information could be vital for him. “Tell me! I have been wanting to know the answer for a millennia!” He balled his hand to a fist and then realized what he said. His head tilts down to the floor.
Alanze shakes her head “... The only way an angel dies is by losing all their strength or power…. I killed my mother the day she gave birth to me…..” she moves her legs around in the water “.... The my father disappeared when i was 3…. Soon after i was told he died …. So you saying my father is still alive doesn't make sense to me”
Velius nodded, making sure to remember what she said. Hopefully it would be something worth telling his lord.. Her father. “Yes. He is.. Alive. He was your god’s right hand, He bravely rebelled and was cast down from the heavens in order to start an army of his own!” He balled his hands to fists once again and gave a prideful look at her. “It’s actually quite a story. It started eons ago, before I ever even existed.” He watched her legs as they splashed about in the water, then he went up to the lake and began to sit on one knee, running his hand gently through the water.
Alanze just sits there listening to what velius said. She still does not believe that her father has been alive this whole time “ … i'm sorry but there is no way for him to still be alive…. If he was alive he would have found a way to tell me! There is no way my father has been alive this whole time without me know “ she gets up and starts walking trying to clear her mind…
Velius chuckles, “Clearly you don’t know him at all..” He looked down for a moment. “Does the name.. Lucifer.. Mean anything to you? The lucifer?” He raises a brow, starting at his reflection in the water. “The smart and handsome angel? I know it’s hard to take in, but the only way to know the truth is to speak to him yourself.. Which means returning to that cave.”
Alanze keeps walking trying to calm down and clear her mind so she can think clearly “... Why would they all lie to me …. It doesn't make since …. Everyone has always told me my father was died ….. Every since i was a child…” she keeps walking until she's in the middle of the forest .
Velius stands up, wipes his wet hand on his pants and caught up to her. “Where are you going?” He called for her and then walked just behind her, staring at her heels. “Are you going to the cave?”
Alanze stops and looks at velius “... No i was trying to clear my mind ….” she closes her eyes “...velius can you leave me alone for a little bit …. I just need to be by myself”
Velius stopped after she said that and then backed up a little. His eyes looked down at the ground, noticing the grass move a little from the wind that suddenly came. “.. Fine, just don't take long.. “ He stopped in place and began to place his back against a tree nearby, which had very large leaves that hung down.
Alanze keeps walking trying to get her head on straight well she mumbles “ there is no way….. That he is my father …. Why would the lord lie to me …. “ she keeps walking until she runs into a tree , she slowly sits down and lays her head on her knees.
Velius waited impatiently while Alazne had gone alone. He spent almost that entire time pondering on everything. He was starting to wonder what Alazne was doing and eventually after waiting for a long time, he got up and began to go towards Alazne’s direction. He could see her sitting against a tree, almost as still as a rock. “Alazne?” He called out to her as he stepped forward.
“Do you think.. we destined to meet…? If so, Why?”
Alazne just sit there crying, soon she ran out of tears and still just seat there. She hated the thought of the lord lying to her and betraying her trust like that, she soon falls asleep from frustration, so she can work everything out as she sleep, she is still asleep when velius comes looking for her.
Velius noticed he didn’t get a response, and shook her arm slightly. She didn’t move. He blinked once, and then decided to pick her up. After picking her up, he began to walk back towards the cave. “I don’t know where else to go.. I don’t want to take you back to the kingdom.. Not like this..” He stopped not too far from the altar and sat against the wall, placing Alazne down, making her use his leg as a pillow to rest her head on. He looked down and began to mutter curses, he was obviously angry. Why him? He was just a normal demon, looking for his next victim to sacrifice.. And he stumbles upon an attractive maiden who he thought would be.. Different.. There was nothing that Velius could do. He didn’t know what to expect from the Dark One’s daughter. Any wrong move, and he could be vanished into nothing.. As if he was never made.
Alazne sleeps for a few hours then slowly wakes up. Sh slowly opens her eyes and blinks a few times to let her vision adjust to the dark. She slowly sits up when she realizes she was using velius’s lap as a pillow she mutters a sorry then looks around “.... um … why are we back at that cave velius?” she slowly moves closer to him. Not really liking this cave…. Then she remembers “ … oh … never mind….” she slowly stands up as she looks around the cave some more. ‘I still don't understand why i was lied to my whole life ‘ she starts getting very mad. She gets so mad her aura starts changing to red along with her eyes. “... I hate being lied to … “ she take a deep breath and slowly starts to calm down where she's not explosive anymore.
Velius opened his eyes after feeling movement coming from his lap. “That angel that was with you… Do you think they would have some answers? Are you able to go back?” He watched as she stands up and looks around the damp cave. It was starting to get cold. “I think I know how you feel. I hate the fact that I stumbled upon a girl who I thought to be a regular mortal.” He crossed his arms and let out a sigh, he really was trying his best to hide that small hint of fear that he had.
