i waited patiently on the playground, Will was kicking the wood-chips and it was obvious he was bored. Chris and Austin were meant to be here any minute, but yet they were still gone. i pulled out my phone and read the text they had sent me five minutes ago.

We are coming!

i was freaking out, the night before had been terrifying. not in the way were you see someone die a thousand times like your use to, but in a way were you have a blank dream. no waking up screaming, no dungeon in Scotland, nothing. i had told my parents and they seemed relived telling me that the older you grow the more Blank dreams you have. i knew that was possible but i didn't know that it was also possible for me. i had told Will and he had freaked out as well. making me feel less crazy.

today was the day i was going to tell Austin and Chris about Susan, i still  wasn't happy about it but i knew it had to be done. Will didn't know and aimlessly threw chips. finally i saw Chris running up from the hill. he was obviously tired, both WIll and i stood. my heart beat faster. what if something had happened to Austin, what if he got captured!" the thoughts exploded in my head.

"Hey sorry, we're late. Austin is coming he just went to get Adolf." Chris said.

for a moment my sights soared until i registered that he went to get someone that i didn't ask for. Chris gave me a lopsided smile.

"Adolf wasn't meant to come." i mumbled.

"Austin said he had this feeling that he needed to get Adolf too." Chris said with a shrug.

soon enough i saw both boys come into view. Adolf waved to me as he saw us standing. they ran up to us, both breathing hard. i sent a silent message to Austin that i wasn't happy, but he wouldn't meet my gaze.

"so what did you want to tell us?" Chris asked.

fear struck me at that moment. i stopped hating Austin for what he had done, i thought back to all the years of torture that i had endured. my mind being no safe haven. my heart started to beat faster and i stammered with 'i'. Will rolled his eyes..

"You remember that girl who appeared yesterday?" Will asked.

all three boys nodded. my mind wouldn't work, i watched helplessly as Will explained with ease the problem i had been dealing with for ages. they looked back and forth from me to Will. i glared at the floor, my fists clutched tight at my sides.

"Is this true?" Adolf asked.

i nodded my head slowly.

Chris was a bout to speak.

"you know nothing!" i snapped at all of them.

i could already feel my face reddening, the tears welling in my eyes. i was betrayed by someone i didn't even like. i had lost the friends i tried so dearly to keep, even Adolf. he wasn't meant to be there, if all had gone wrong i would have turned to him. now my back up plan was fired yet again in my face. i felt the tears run down my cheeks, i didn't dare look up.

i turned and took off, running as fast as i could. years of running from people trying to laugh and hit me, had made me fast. half of me died, i could hear Adolf, Austin, Will, and Chris yelling for me but i didn't turn around.

Adolf was the closest to me and tried to grab my arm. i saw this out of the corner of my eye and did a sharp turn and kept running, pushing as hard as i could go. my heart started to run with me, telling me i had to stop of it would break. i could already feel my lungs closing up, my eyes not being able to settle in just one spot. i could see one place though, the house.

i jumped through the lawn of a person, startling their dogs. they chased me but i jumped their fence over, landing in a sand box. i didn't look back i already knew that will knew where i was heading. i ran faster and faster.

i have only wanted a friend! is that too hard to ask?

i ripped off the 'do not trespass' sign and threw the door open. escaping into the house, closing and locking the door i finally caught my breath. i was crying harder now, holding my heart as it tried to slow down, from it's frantic hurry. i looked around.

the house was dark, the window were boarded shut only allowing a little light to come through. i walked into the main room, it looked like an old ballroom. it had a giant staircase that lead into a dark hallway.

"Susan, i am coming." i mumbled to myself

i climbed up the stairs following the feeling that seemed to be growing. at the end of the hallway, to the right, was a single door. i walked to it till my hand was literally on the cool, rusty, doorknob. i heard a crack and the door fell down. Adolf yelled my name, out of alarm i slipped into another room closing the door softly. i could hear the boys talking, and footsteps running through the hallway. i stuck as close as possible to the wall.

Adolf opened the door, before closing it. i took a sigh of relief when i heard him run back to the stairs and yell that i wasn't there. a smile kept to my face, i opened the door slightly and peeked out seeing Adolf, staring down.

i slipped out, finding a new talent of sneakiness. i slipped past and went to the door again. the doorknob twisted perfectly in my hand and i opened the door. it lead into a very dark room, i heard the soft playing of a piano. i turned  just that moment to see Adolf notice me.

i gave him an evil smile before he could yell my name i walked through.
