i skipped down the road, i wasn't normally this happy. days ago i was heart broken for i had to quit the job i loved, to marry a man i hated. i had consulted Father Esteban and he had given me a small herbal remedy that would make me 'die'. i was not going to marry an abusive rapist, no matter how rich. my father didn't know only me and Father Esteban. he said it would make me 'die' for about a week until it wore off where he would be there to help me escape the lands of Evans. i was sad that i had to leave Gavin but if he knew he would understand.
tonight was the night, i was going to take it, i wasn't going to let me go into the marriage of pain. i bid my father goodnight as he read a book over a glass of whisky. i went to bed and bought my own drug out. i smiled and drank it.
it had a fowl taste but i trusted Father Esteban with my life, he had raised me after my mother had died for they had come together from Spain. i could feel my eyes drooping and i fell into my death sleep.

i knew the world had heard of my death, for i heard it too. my father cried for days before i was moved to the church where father Esteban would 'fix'me to be burried. i could hear everyone and i wanted to cry for the most part, people i knew since i was young came and said such sweet things to me.
Gavin and the rest of his family came to see me. i could feel Gavin's hand in mine. his hands are soft but rough and bigger than mine, i felt the butterflies crawling up my throat but i couldn't do anything. i wanted to cry, i didn't was to leave Gavin but i knew i must. after a while they left and later that night i was still awake. i knew that tonight i was leaving, i could already feel the drug warring off.
father Esteban sat next to me.
"Come, my dear, it is time." he whispered helping me up.
i opened my eyes and i tried to keep the unshed tears in, Father Esteban gave me a sad smile and whipped my tears.
"If you plan to not go unaware. leave now, i will put someone else in your place." he said handing me a cloak.
i nodded and got up taking the cloak and tying it around me pulling the hood over my face. Father Esteban lead me to an old horse that was saddled up and helped me on.
"God's speed my dear, there is another town and then just behind the mountains to the west is the Johnston clan, stay and make camp there. you will not be recognized there, and take this, i know it isn't much but your mother was a daughter to me. here, use it wisely." he said handing me a small pouch with coins.
i started at him in shock.
"No father, i will not rob you." i said handing it back.
"you are not robbing me, take it and go. you don't have much time left." he ordered pushing my hand back.
"I will never forget this Father, you truly a man of God." i said before i jutted my heels into the side of the horse and charged off.
