“Valarie?” My name was being called, “Val? Angel, come on. Up now.” I shook my head as I opened my eyes to a familiar looking guy.
“Jeff?” I questioned.
“I prefer Sexy God. Nicknames are for a reason, Angel.” He told me sitting down next to me.
I laughed, rolling my eyes, “what are you doing here?”
“I waited for you at your locker, for ten minutes. Then I came out here, thinking you stood me up again.” he told me smirking.
“But...” I realized, “shoot I missed the last two hours?”
He laughed. “I guess you did.”
I shook my head, “This isn't good.” What is Will going to think? What is the state going to think? If this ruins the chance of us adopting Aden and Rosie, for us being a family, I'll never forgive myself.
“Hey its okay.” Jeff said wrapping his arms around me, moving in comforting circles, “honestly Angel its not that bad. I skip all the time.”
I shook my head with tears in my eyes, “You don't know how bad this is.”
“Tell me then, Angel. Val please I want to understand.” he pleaded lifting my chin up to look him in the eyes.
I shook my head, and thunder clapped above us. “I need to sort this out.” I told him getting out of his arms and running into the school as he called after me.

I walked out of the school to find it drizzling outside but I didn't care, I sorted everything out and they left me with a warning! I am beyond happy, you have know idea.
I threw up my hood and began my walk home. I walked out of the parking lot when a car stopped on the side. I spun around to face the car as the window rolled down.
“Need a ride?” he asked, but he wasn't as friendly as usual. I smiled and hopped into the black BMW.
“Thanks,” I said studying his face, he looked different, more I don't know more... handsomer, if that was even possible. His jaw was set out in stubbornness and made him even more sexier.
I shook my head as I blushed, realizing that it wasn't Jeff.
“Where do you need to get drop off at?” He asked his eyes flickering to me for a second, I think I would have imagined it if he did smirk as I blushed.
I looked out the widow and we were going the wrong way completely. “I live, back there.” I told him quietly as I bit my lip.
“Okay,” he said as he turned down a street. He turned on a street with big houses and brick driveways. I blushed he probably lived in one of these. He's going to think my house is totally lame. If I'm being honest, I used to live in a house like these, big and expensive. I had everything, but we sold it to pay off the investments that my parents had made that made us completely broke, plus the house wasn't fully payed for and there was no way Will could afford it.
But this whole thing made me realize that you can't replace family. I miss my parents and I miss my brother and sister. I miss our family, together as one.
I could feel hot tears on my face mixed with the rain drops that trickled down slowly on my face. I whipped it away quickly, and I felt Avery looking at me.
He turned down another road and made his way to my apartment. “I'm Avery, by the way.” He told me suddenly.
“Valarie.” I said my voice cracking as I looked up at him.
“I know,” he laughed, “my brother talked about you nonstop yesterday.” I stared at him, that it, their brothers. Now that I think of it, I should have noticed it before,. the similarities, the same last name.
I blushed, “Jeff, he's a great guy.”
His smile became tight, “Yeah, he's the freaking best.”
I blushed again. Okay maybe that topic was a little sensitive. “Here!” I shouted as he drove past my apartments.
He quickly turned the wheel and went into the lot. “Thanks,” I told him hopping out of the car.
I opened the door to the apartment quickly and went to my room changing into non-wet, warmer clothes. I smiled and went into the kitchen to make a quick dinner, for Will and I.
It was eight thirty and I was a little worried, okay a lot. Where is he? Is he hurt? Should I go look for him? I thought over and over again. I grew impatient as time went on.
It was twelve fifty two in the morning, and the butterflies were out of control. I need to see him and I need to see him now! Where is he?
I paced the small living room, waiting and waiting and some more waiting.
At three twenty four, I resorted to biting my nails nervously. Did something happen? I need him, I can't get Aden and Rosie with out him. I would be sent back to foster care. I fell to the floor as my knees gave out, clutching my side and fell asleep.
