Valarie's POV
“Val?” Will shouted from the door, “there's something for you.”
I whipped away my tears, “w-what?” I cleared my throat softly.
“A box, for you..”
I got off the bed and opened the door. “Thanks.” I took the box from him shutting the door again.
“Hey!” He shouted.
“Its fine I got it.” I told him even though I had no clue what it was.
On the box it had my name printed on it. I considered throwing it out, who know what it was or who it was from but curiosity got the better of me and I carefully opened it. A single piece of paper was on top of the peanut things. I picked it up and read the note. ~This is for you. I looked at the note and read it again and again. This is the strangest thing ever. I went through the peanuts and found a hard, small box. It looked familiar and my heart skipped and I smiled slightly as I opened the small box slowly.
I shirked and dropped the box and it landed on the floor with a thud, as my hands went to my mouth to hold in my scream.
Who did this? At first I thought it was Avery, but he didn't know I wanted this necklace. Maybe the old man? No, he didn't know my name or where I lived. I was freaked either way, beside it couldn't be Avery he hated me.
I picked up the necklace and placed it on the bed. I stared at it asking it who sent it to me. Yeah I guess you could say I was a little crazy.

In the morning I began getting ready but I couldn't take my eyes off the beautiful necklace. I debated putting it on, and right before I was about the leave I put it on and covered it with my sweater.
I got to school with not a lot of time to do much else then get my books from my locker and go to class.
I walked in just as the bell rang and Avery was yet to be there. I sighed as I took my seat.
The teacher did a small lesson and then left us to do out projects.
“Val and I will do research, and you guys make the posters,” Molly told Ryder and Trisha.
“Actually, I'll I got to go soon, so...” Trisha said looking at her nails, “emergency nail appointment.” She looked up at our confused faces. I stifled my laugh and began typing on the computer.
“Really?” Molly asked irradiated.“Yeah, I broke one.”
Molly glared at her and turned to Ryder, “Fine, you can help us research and we'll just do the poster tomorrow.” Trisha mumbled something and left.
“Really?! Emergency nail appointment?” Molly hissed between her teeth. I looked up and Ryder and I caught eyes and shared an amused expression. “Come on, honestly. Does she think that's a real thing?” She looked at me and I shrugged and smiled when she turned to Ryder who was laughing. “Its not funny its stupid.”
“Nah, Moll I believe you.” he told her placing a hand on hers, calming her down.
“Good.” She told him taking her hands away and began typing away on the computer.
I raised my eyebrow at him and he rolled his eyes but smiled slightly.
The bell rang and I walked out with Ryder to my left and Molly on my right. “Party Friday, my house.” Ryder told me.
“Again? Why are your parents gone all the time?” Molly asked surprised.
“I don't know, they're doing some stuff over seas. Anyway, party my house eight o'clock. Come.” He told me.
“I don't know...” I told him quietly. I was nervous, I didn't know anybody but Molly and Ryder, well besides Avery and Jeff.
“It'll be fun..” Ryder sang.
I laughed, “Maybe.”
“You can hang with me.” Molly said, “I only go because it's Ryder's party, but I don't really get along with anyone here.”
I smiled, “So like fun.”
“Good.” Ryder shot us a smile before running off to class.“You really don't mind?”
“No not at all, I don't have a lot of friends so this should be fun.”
