"Hello," the receptionist greets Mitch when he walks in and Mitch turns around to see a different receptionist to the usual one.

"I'm Miss Kaplan," she winks then mock-whispers, "but you can call me Esther."

Mitch waves slightly and a small smile forms on Miss Kaplan's face.

"You're not supposed to be here until..." She checks her computer quickly before turning back to him. "Tomorrow." At Mitch's regretful gaze, she smiles softly. "But that's okay. Scott's with another person at the moment but they should be done soon so if you'd like to take a seat..." Miss Kaplan waves at the seats and Mitch takes one in the furthest chair away from the desk, still unsure of the new receptionist.

Fifteen minutes later, Mitch was counting, his head flicks over to where the door opened and the familiar blonde walks out, accompanied by another familiar boy.

"I'll see you on Saturday Avi, don't forget what I told you." Doctor Hoying smiles.

"How could I? You've drilled it into me a million times," Mitch's heart starts racing at the volume of the other boy's voice. Avi waves at Doctor Hoying and sends Miss Kaplan a smile before leaving, not even looking at Mitch.

"Hey Esther," Doctor Hoying greets the brown haired girl and walks over to the desk. "How are you today?"

Mitch watches as Doctor Hoying chats with Miss Kaplan, not noticing him sitting in the dark corner.

"Uh, Scott?" Miss Kaplan interrupts him halfway through a story about Landon and Doctor Hoying raises his barely-there eyebrows in question. "You have a visitor." She points in Mitch's direction and Scott spins around, a faint blush forming on his cheeks.

"Oh, Mitch, I'm so sorry." He stands up straighter and smiles sheepishly. "Would you like to come in?"

Mitch nods and stands up, walking into Scott's room.
