"Hello Mitch," Esther grins at the boy but the corners of her mouth turn down when she takes in his state. He's in a ragged sweater, the sleeves going past his fingertips, and a pair of sweatpants. "Mitch, are you okay?"

Maybe it's the way she said it or the fact that Mitch trusts her so easily but the brunette starts bawling.

Esther quickly moves around her desk and hesitates next to the boy, unsure of whether to hug him or not. Mitch solves that problem by engulfing her in a hug. She is fast to hug him back and rub his back as he sobs into her shirt.

"I-I'm sorry." He whispers around 10 minutes later after looking at her tear stained shirt.

Esther softly smiles. "It's perfectly okay. I can always be your shoulder to cry on. Any friend of Avi's is a friend of mine."

Mitch furrows his eyebrows causing Esther to furrow hers.

"I'm Avi's sister, did he not tell you?" She explains and Mitch's eyebrows shoot up.

"No." He replies.

Esther shrugs and nods towards Scott's room. "Yeah, he's my baby brother and he's in there right now- oh my god!" Esther squeals and grins at Mitch.

"I forgot to tell you! Scott's back!"
