The girl was brought to the dorm and put in a cage in the middle of the Okumura brothers's room. They put a seal around it just in case the girl decides to attack them. This seal only works on shape shifter demons so it was fine for Rin and Kuro.
They left food and a bottle of water for the girl in the cage. Rin had cooked salmon, cabbages and potatoes for her. Even though it has an aroma coming from it, the girl didn't touch the food.
Rin stared at the girl's back and sighed. Not only she didn't touch the food and water, she also didn't want to look at them at all. Every time Rin tried to face her, she would turn away. She sat in the center of the cage hugging her legs and staring at nothing in specific. She lasted like that for the whole day. Even Yukio couldn't force or threaten her to eat.
Rin was watching the white haired girl when nature called. He went off to the washroom. Unbeknownst to him, the girl was watching him from the corner of her eyes when he turned his back.
When Rin came back, he saw that the bowl of food was empty and licked clean. The water bottle was already half empty. He looked back at the girl and spotted crumbs of food on her cheek. He laughed a little, now knowing that the girl was actually hungry.
He cheerfully took the bowl away and even knowing that she won't reply, he still asked: "How's the food? I made it like that 'cause I wasn't sure what you eat."
He hummed happily as he went to the kitchen to wash the bowl. "Hey Yukio! She ate it! Not a single crumb left on the plate!" Yukio looked up from his bowl. "I see. Good to hear that. Come and eat, your food is getting cold. Then please go upstairs to do your homework. I'll be going out for a mission." "Hai Okaa-san." He replied boredly as Yukio went out.
"Who does he think he is? He takes me as a kid, ordering me around like a boss huh?!" Rin huffed and gobbled down his dinner. Ukobach looked at Rin and shrugged. Rin groaned.
......Rin returned to his room to continue on his homework. He slumped on his desk in fustration as he work on the complicated questions.
Halfway when he was trying to solve the question, something bonked on his head. "Hey!" He spun around and saw the girl finally looking at him. Well, staring. She had thrown the empty plastic bottle at Rin. Her hybrid eyes boring into his blue ones.
"...You called me?" Rin asked pointing at himself and stating the obvious. But she just stared at him. "What do you want, more water?" She looked at the lock then at him again. "Where do you want to go?"
When she didn't reply, he sighed and unlocked the cage. "Don't try to run away. The seals will keep you here or maybe kill you. I don't want that to happen." The cage door swung open and the girl lightly stepped out. She headed for the door. "Oi...oi! Where are you going?" Rin chased after her after grabbing his kurikara.
They headed down the hall and soon stopped at the girls' bathroom. (Come to think about it, why did they have girls' bathroom in a boys' dorm in the first place?) The girl entered the bathroom. Rin stared at the closed door in disbelief. "Seriously...Is it that hard to say this?" He rubbed the back of his head and waited.
After the girl came out, Rin escorted her back to the room. He opened the cage door for the girl. But the girl didn't move. Rin understood why, he wouldn't want to be locked in a cage. But if Yukio saw her roaming freely outside her cage, who knows what wrath Rin will have to suffer?
Finally, after much reluctance, the girl got back in the cage as Rin lock the door. He watched as the girl lay down on her side, back still turned on him and slept. Rin sighed and went back to solve the complicated problem.
"Damn it! Where was I?!"
