Kou and Sora were back from their honeymoon, and as much as you had missed them, you dreaded them coming home. Now that they were back, they could sell the cafe.
They'd already gotten offers from a few people while they were away, but all of them were below the asking price and the newlyweds decided to wait a little longer to see if they could receive a better offer. While all of this was going on, they were also searching for new apartments. You were going to the cafe to help with the search by scanning through newspapers and online ads for a place for them.
When you got to the cafe, everyone else was already sitting around, flipping through magazines or typing on laptops. No one greeted you as you dropped the bag hanging from your shoulder and took a seat next to Emiko.
"How's the hunt going?" you asked.
"Not amazing," she said as her slender fingers flew across the keyboard of her open laptop. "Everything's either too far, too expensive, or too shitty."
"That's a drag," you said.
"(Y/N)," Sora greeted cheerfully as she came down the metal stairs. She looked tired, but was putting on her best face for her friends around her. You came down a second after she did.
"Hey, everybody," he said, and there was an unenthusiastic wave of greetings.
"How was the honeymoon?" you asked.
"It was fun," Sora said, and went behind the counter to make a cup of coffee. "We took lots of pictures that I promise I'll show you later."
"I'm glad you had a good time," you said, even though you knew they both probably spent the whole time worrying about what responsibilities were waiting for them when they got home. "Oh, I almost forgot," you remembered that you had Sasuke's gift for them in your bag, and ruffled through it until you found the crisp white envelope.
"What's that?" Sora asked.
You held it out for her to take. "A wedding gift from Sasuke. He says he's sorry that he missed the wedding, but he sends his congratulations."
Sora took the envelope kindly. "Oh, he didn't have to do this."
"That's so kind of him," Kou said.
"We'll have to write him a thank you card," Sora pointed out.
"I think we have a few extra upstairs," Kou said and pointed his thumb towards the stairs.
You went back to sit beside Emiko while Kou and Sora talked and grabbed a newspaper from the table. "There has to be something..." you mumbled. "What are they looking for exactly?"
"Two bedroom one bathroom. Preferably around this area, but they'll probably have to go a little out farther out with their budget."
"This sucks," you mumbled.
"I know," Emiko said, sounding as heartbroken as you did.
"I still can't believe they have to sell this place. Maybe we can do something about it."
"It's too late, (Y/N). This place is going out of business, if they don't sell it now, they'll go bankrupt."
"But maybe we can keep it from going out of business. We can advertise it better, make commercials, get billboards, have online ads!"
"Where would we get the money for that?" Emiko asked. "There's nothing we can do, okay?"
"But what if we-"
"No, (Y/N). We'd need a miracle to keep them from closing."
"AH!" Sora screamed from the back of the room, and everyone turned to stare at her.
