-POV Opal-

Zelda lead me to my bed and I dropped face first into my pillows. I felt Zelda sit on the edge of the bed.

"I'm so sorry I dragged you into doing that, I knew you didn't do 'wild' things and I still made you do it." She seemed sad.

I lifted my head from the pillows and said, "please don't blame yourself, I'm the one that went along with it, you had nothing to do with my decision."

"Are you sure? I'll stop hanging out with Alex and Mags and their group."

"You won't need to do that, they are your friends, you shouldn't give them up for my sake." I rolled onto my back.

"I rather lose them than you, since I've known them all they have caused me is trouble. So for my sake, I'm going to give them up. I rather hang out with you anyways."

"That's really nice but-"

"No buts! We shall be friends and you will teach me the way of not being a trouble maker." She laughed and said, "now that hot hunk'a hunk named Samm-"

"No. We're not going to talk about him, every time I look at him I rethink how stupid I must have looked while panicking in the locker room in front of him."

"Fine if you don't want to talk about him then so-"

There was a knock at the dorm room door. I sat up on the edge of the bed and sighed. I thought it must have been Alex and Mags to say more mean things to me or to apologize, but I was dead wrong. As I listened to Zelda open the door I froze in place.

"Hey... Um, may I come in?"

"Yeah, the couch is a little gross but you know," the door shut and I listed to Zelda talk.

"Samm was it?"

"Yeah, I know you told me that Opal was okay but it didn't really seem like it," he sounded distraught.

"She's fine, would you like some water?"

"Sure."

"She just," Zelda sighed, "she just keeps thinking about running into you in the locker room and she is embarrassed by it." The faucet turned on and back off.

"She has no reason to be embarrassed, it was just a little 'run in.'"

"Opal, come out here!" Zelda yelled.

I replied with a sharp, "No!"

"Girl he's not going to bite you!"  I didn't reply.

"Get out here!" She snapped one more time, I slowly got up and slugged my way into the living room. I kept all my eye contact away from Samm by looking down. Suddenly Zelda's hand grabbed my arm and pulled me into the kitchen.

"Listen here you frail dove. I didn't just invite him into the dorm for you not to say anything to him, don't you get it? He's hot and a football player he'd be a total score on your behalf!" She seemed angry.

"You realize I can hear you?" Samm's voice came from the living room.

"Shit." Zelda whispered and put her hands behind her back and walked back into the living room, "I'm sorry, but I had to have a few words with our dear Opal. Opal come out here."

I slowly walked out and looked at Samm with an apologetic look, "I'm sorry I ran into you in the locker room, I really didn't mean too."

"No need to apologize," he smiled and for some reason, I didn't feel uncomfortable with him anymore. To me he was just a football player now, he was nice and all but I still didn't want to be associated with him.

"This was a nice talk and all but I am exhausted and I would like to sleep, goodnight!" I walked straight out of the living room and into my room. Then I collapsed and fell asleep.

Zelda forced me to wake up an hour before I had planned. We sat on the floor, each with a bowl of cereal.

"I know we literally just met like four days ago, but I feel like I need to be your best friend. You get where I'm going with this? Plus we're living together." She said.

"I understand where you're going Zed-" she cut me off.

"If you ever need to talk then talk to me, because I'll be here." She gave me a reassuring smile and got up, "our first classes are starting soon, mine as well get ready." Then she walked to her room to get ready.

I lazily got up and put my bowl in the sink and made my way to my room. First day of school all over again. I hastily got dressed. When I walked out of my room Zelda was still in hers, I knocked on her door and said, "you wanna be late?"

"Excuse me?" The door swung open and her hair was a mess, "I don't have goddess hair like you!" I sighed and let myself in her room.

"Here, let me brush it," I carefully ran the brush through her hair and got all the knots out. It was back to its pixie bob look.

We left, we had different classes, hers started before mine so I drove her to her lecture hall. Zelda's enthusiasm has gone down since we first met. She was extremely excited to meet me, and she wouldn't stop talking. I guess since we have gotten used to each other she's calmed down. I wonder if she's always excitable.

I got to my lecture hall and made my way to a lower seat. I sat down and relaxed. I was one of the first to arrive. The professor walked in and looked around before saying, "all six of you here early already have extra credit."

This was the first time I've had a professor give extra credit, huh.

"Yes!" Shouted a kid behind me, out of curiosity I turned around to see who it was, Samm, it was Samm.
