This is re-written, in first person because I thought I was better at adding more details. Enjoy! Also, I won't be saying what P.O.V every time because I'm sure you can figure this one out.
I burst through the taxi's car door with two lavender bags in my fists. My balled up hands shoved the door of the apartment before dashing down to the elevator door, ignoring the little old lady at receptionist desk.
"Mrs. You have to sign i-." I already had stepped into the elevator floor. My eyes shifted onto the button selection and I repeatively smashed the penthouse shaped button with impatience. The doors shut and the cheery tone of the music turned on. I couldn't help to shift to one foot to the other with incredible impatience.
Ding ding ding.....
The door slid open revealing her huge apartment. My eyes glanced over the surrounding area. But my eyes shifted over to the kitchen with curiosity. No welcoming voice rang out, No warm wafting aroma, and no Corey.
I let out a disappointed with as I threw the bags onto the floor as I crashed into the couch. It's furry pillows softened my fall but my crimson hair blanketed my face and a clump managed to get into my mouth.
I gaged before spitting it out in disgust. I then twisted my neck to face towards the gigantic TV in the front of her with a coffee table that had the remotes set up from alphabetical order. Corey insisted to do this despite never even using the TV.
I rolled my eyes before grabbing the cable remote and pressing the small red button in the corner of the remote. The TV flickered on as flashing imagines of the national news while patriotic music played.
A woman with fake looking blond hair appeared on the screen after the news logo disappeared. She smiled unnaturally with strange pearl teeth poking from her pink lips.
"Welcome people of America!, Her voice sounded strained, " Today in the news, Frisk Lovelend of the underground has been invited to a debate with several presidents from around the world about the monster laws...". I groaned before reaching to turn off the TV, or at least change the channel. "Now to Helen's show!", I smashed the off button as quick as possible in disgust and stood up to find something good to eat.
The kitchen smelt like lemons, like it normally did. I couldn't help savoring the smell for a while. I quickly ran to the pantry's door, before pulling it open. I groaned, it was filled with raw materials, and I didn't want to cook. The fridge wasn't any better. Maybe Corey would come home and back her cake.
Who was she kidding.
Corey isn't going to miss her birthday, right?
A loud doorbell noise interrupted my thoughts. I moaned, what now? I dragged my tired feet to the door.
My hands twisted around it, before pulling it harshly.
She couldn't believe who was there.
