-Nightstars POV-

"Please Mother?" I begged her out of breath. We were training, she was making me jump, punch, kick, and hit myself against the walls for endurance. She wanted to test my reactions to things, so we were going to sword fight with wood.

"No, I don't want my daughter to grow up weak and defenseless." She responded strongly.

I sighed and picked up the fake sword, my mother corrected my stance and we begun. She started out slow teaching me the basics of how to hold the sword and swing it.

"You'll have to be ready for anything unexpected Daughter, someone could try to over throw you as ruler or try to kill you in your sleep, you must be prepared."

"Yes Mother." I swung the sword towards her head with minimal effort but she easily blocked and smiled.

"Very nice daughter."

She swung the sword downward towards my head but I dodged easily, swooping to my right and swung the sword towards her left rib cage. She blocked with her wood sword, put her arms upward, she leaned on her right leg and gently kicked me down with her left leg. I fell to the dirt, still holding my sword. She put the wood sword to my neck. I stared at the point of the wooded sword.

"Very well daugh-"

I hit her sword out of the way with mine and flew into the air and charged at her. I screamed as I charged because I thought it gave me more power. She blocked again. I bounced off her, doing a back flip and tried hitting her right rib cage, she blocked again. I flew between her legs and kicked her back, she stumbled forward.

I flew into the air as she regained her balance and charged once again, my eyes glowed a green color. I swung the sword into her right rib cage and then her left, then I pushed her stomach so she stumbled backwards. While she stumbled I flew above her, grabbed her shoulders, forcing her into the ground while doing a back flip to let go. I held the wooden sword to her neck from behind. I saw her cheeks raise, so she must be smiling.

"Can I go now mother?"

"Yes, you are free to go."

I let her loose, she turned around and stared at me. She bent down and looked into my eyes, smiling. She grabbed my shoulders.

"Nightstar you did glorious today! Your training will have to intensify soon, oh how I can't wait until Gal'Fore hears how well you are doing!"

She hugged me, I hugged her back smiling. She was proud of me, I was proud of myself. She let me enjoy the rest of my day...or afternoon.

I did a loop-da-loop in the partly cloudy sky, I looked again at the darkening sky. The sun will set in an hour and I will have to go to bed.

'No fair. Mother had kept me up all day and now I can't spend the rest of the day with my friends.' I crossed my arms.

Which, by the way, I did search for, for over an hour, they wouldn't come out to see me. Why was she trying so hard to train me? Why does she want to spend the whole day with me instead of just half the day like we use to? Mother is confusing.

I flew over the trees, vines, and flowers, then landed onto the grass at my usual place. The small pond with a couple of big rocks to sit on. It was the place where I saw my friends last time, I wished they would show up soon so we can play.

I sat there bored, resting my chin into my hands and finally after waiting for my friends, the sun began to set. I hate to miss the sun sets and sun rises, but mostly sun sets. I flew high into the air and watched gratefully. I saw my mother on her balcony watching the sun set, she did not see me and I did not want to disturb her. After all, who wants to be disturbed while watching the sunset.
