Dauntless born (a FourTris story)

part 11

Tris

I wake up and get ready for the day. As I walk out of my apartment with my mom and Uriah I notice a note stuck on the door.

Dear Tris,

I haven't talked to you in a while but I need you to follow these series of notes until you reach the end and when you think it is the end it's not then there is one more stop after the second end and that is the final end because you will see me.

This note should lead you to the rail that stops us from falling to death.

     You'll find out later.

I go to the rail of the chasm because if you fall you die and the rail stops us. I find a second note taped to the rail.

Dear Tris,

This note should lead you to cake.

   You'll find out later.

I head to the cafeteria and go straight to the desert table. I see another note stuck to the table.

Dear Tris,

Head to where the older idiot brother sleeps.

     You'll find out soon.

I go to the Dauntless born dormitory and I see a path of rose petals with a stuffed Dauntless bear and a clue/note.

Dear Tris,

Your welcome for the bear. I have very few fears and I sort of take pride for it. Head to where all sick Dauntless people go.

I head to the infirmary and I find another note on the wall.

Dear Tris,

Go to the tracks.

I head to the part of the tracks we almost always get on and off from. That's where I see more rose petals and a small blue case with a note taped on top.

Dear Tris,

Don't open the blue case. Head the chasm there will be a small door on your right when you get close. Go through it and just follow the path but don't slip.

Love
   You'll see in a minute.

I follow the directions and find the door. I then follow the path being careful not to slip. I carry the bear and case in one hand and all the notes in the other.

As I walk further down the Rocky path I start to see a figure through the dense dog. He seems to be sitting down, relaxing, not noticing I'm coming towards him. As I get closer I realize that it is Four.

Four is the boy who set all of this up. Wow. I sit down next to him and we are silent for a while. Until he speaks up, I don't know what this is, but I do know that I can't stay away from you after the choosing ceremony. I like you, Tris. Like as more than just a friend. I need to figure out what we are.

Ok, I try to process what I was just told. Aren't I a little too young for you.

Two years. How is that too young?

Ok, well what do you want us to be because you know my brothers would kill you if you didn't ask them.

I know that's why I was thinking that we date but in secret so they don't blow up and kill me.

Ok, but can we at least tell them later on though because I won't sleep at your house or really do much without people knowing because I hate sneaking around a lot?

Of coarse it just has to be secret at first.

Ok.

Tris pedrad will you be my girlfriend.
