Ryder drove into the college grounds and stopped in front of a crowd of people. He loved getting all the attention he could find. He loved being the spot light and he needn't ask for it before it was given to him. It was a clean, cool and sleek SUV sedan black car. He hadn't driven it to school for about a month now. Ryder came down from the car and closing the car door behind, he began to get greetings from all directions and gave his signature smirky smile to some girls who walked past saying 'Hello'.
"Hey Ry!" he heard his name and he definitely knew who called. It was Jace. Looking forward, he saw Jace, Jake and Jordan walking up to him, wide smiles on their faces. They were all sons of parents of great affluence and influence. Wherever you found one, you've found the others.
"Ryder my man." Jordan said and gave him a handshake and a side hug.
"Hey Ryder." Jake said slightly hitting his shoulder.
"How are you guys doing?" he asked smiling.
"We're cool." Jace answered.
"Damn it Ry." Jordan said looking at Ryder's car and touching it.
"The last time you brought this car to school was like a month ago but just look at it, it looks like you just bought it." he said and Ryder smiled widely.
"I know, but this is gonna be the last time I'll ever drive it school. It's not in league anymore." he said.
Beth, C.J and Trisha were walking down the road path towards the entrance of the college hall when Trisha stopped on seeing Ryder in the midst of his friends, talking and laughing.
"Oh my goodness..." she said excitedly.
"What is it Trish?" Beth asked.
"Look over there, close to the garden. It's Ryder Petrakis." Beth looked at him and then rolled her eyes.
"Doesn't he look so handsome." Trisha asked
"Seriously Trish, you're crazy." CJ said.
C.J was the tomboy of Beth's friends while Trish was princess sleeping beauty who dreamt of no one else but Ryder.
"Seriously Trish, you need to wake up from your slumber. Ryder is a total jerk and he'll never look at you." Beth said and Trish looked at her with shock.
"Aren't you the one who always love to sing the Petrakis anthem in my ears?"
"Trish, because I love the Petrakis doesn't mean I love all of them. Am only crazy about the first two, Chase and Cameron Petrakis, the responsible and intelligent ones, not the one who jumps at any girl who sways her hips left and right. C'mon Trish, am not stupid." Beth defended and Trish turned back to continue smiling at Ryder.
