He texted julia. he and julia remained friends. She works for an events-management corporation and he needs her help to pull his plan through.This is his day. He smiled at the thought. Chandria was excited to come home. Sinabihan na alng niya assistant nya na ito na ang mag-close dahil importanteng araw ni Atty. Ilustre. Indeed she is a proud, happy, contented girlfriend on earth.

After their 5th anniversary when she became busy with her clothing shop and Ben enrolled in law school they just stopped extravagant no reason gifts. Like benedicts fraternity functions, or special dinners.

In one of the bags was a fabulous haltered dress. It was in champagne, classic. Maybe the dinner is in somewhere romantic place, or some 5-star hotel. She gueesed it is a reason to celebrate Benedict’s passing the exam. The other box was a silk french shawl. Somewhere cold she guessed. Natawa siya. over protective talaga si Benedict. The other box had the left shoe. It was sparkling and beautiful.,but wheres the other pair?? As if on cue her phone rang.

"beb did your assistant put my shoe somewhere?

ben chuckled "you're welcome...”

"Cute.beb i wont go on this date without the other half"

"baby i know. I’ll give it to you because i am your other half isnt it?

chandria blushed. Nagpapahiwatig na ba si Benedict ng marriage proposal? She thought it was settled that once benedict gets accepted in a reputable law firm saka palang sila mag-papakasal. Maybe Benedict is really just trying to be romantic.

"mushy....ok ill take a shower first. i love you beb"

she wore only one piece of jewerly the necklace auntie Milet gave her when she graduated college. According dito it was special, yun daw ang necklace na iniregalo ni uncle Benjie sa kanya when they found out she was pregnant with Benedict. That necklace is special. She put some lip tint then wore her bedroom slippers. bakit naman kase hindi pa ibigay ni ben ang kaparis ng sapatos niya. 

Ang saya saya niya, she made a sacrifice of not spending a lot of days when he was preparing for the bar. Ayaw man ni Benedict na di sila nagkikita everyday sinabi niyang it was for the best. Para sa future din nila naman yun.

Benedict was already waiting don their staircase. on his hand is the other half of her shoe. He carried her to the couch saka ipinasuot ang dalwang sapatos. Hanggang nagyon after 8 years of relationship, mahiyain pa din si Cha. Any form of initimacy lagi nalang itong nagb-blush

Benedict laughed...he missed her. he's guilty of not spending time with her over the past few days, and he would definitely make it up.

once ben opened thr car door there was a boquet of sunflowers for her. she still remembered the significance of sunflowers in their relationship, and his proposal. She gave him a kiss in the cheek. She is overwhelmed. She mouthed "thank you" as Ben started the car.surprises of all surprises, sa krispy kreme siya dinala ni Ben.she looked at him with her questioning eyes.

B: magastos na kase outfit natin so i figured we can go back to the basics abd eat doughnuts.

he winked. Butterflies in her stomach sommersaulted. That wink has always the same effect for her. "Kilig to the bones" as she hear people label that. Ben took her hand as they went inside the doughnut place. nka-tig 2 silang doughnut. natatawa siya ng maalala niya pano niya, finally sinagot si ben. The picturebof them together holding one doughnut each is displayed in her room and the Ilustre's family room. even Benedict's dad loved that picture, called it a happy couple portrait.

Hindi sinabi ni benedict kung uuwi na ba sila after their doughnut date. She also saw the bottle of sparkling wine chilled in the back seat. She heard benedict took a deep breath.

"Something wrong beb?" she asked.

"ofcourse not. I’ll take you to a land of promise. so if you'll let me put these on you" benedict took out the hanky out of his pocket and blind folded her. Land of promise? saan kaya? she has no idea where they were and she is guessing a 20-25 minutes drive when Benedict stopped the engine. She felt him stepped out of the car, opened the door on her side and took her hand. it was cold. she felt him place the shawl on her shoulders. She thanked him. She walked a few steps and then as soon as they stopped, a band started to play “this guys inlove with you pare”. The just guessed its a band cause the music felt so raw, and lively.that time benedict removed the blindfold. to her amusement, it was indeed parokya ni edgar. Live. In person. How benedict managed to pull that through she has no idea.

"miss pinapasabi ni attorney i lab yu daw" the funny vocalist told her. she was laughing and sobbing at the same time...8 years, kaya padin siyang pasayahin ni Benedict sa tuwa. Correction, Joy. Pure bliss.

"Sabe din niya ok lang daw ba kang bigyan ng chikinini? hahahaa loko lang. hindi naman yun sinabi niya. ang totoo nun gusto ka raw niya maging misis. will you marry me daw? ay loko lang attorney. ewan ko sa inyo labo niyo..." and started singing their song again. She looked at benedict may hawak na itong black velvet box. He opened it. The most gorgeous diamond ring she has ever seen.

"i beg that you marry me. i have realized most of my dreams and thats the only thing i need, you and me, as one. Please say yes"

she held his face and cupped it and kissed him

"hindi mo na kailangan itanong yan kinder palang tayo gusto ko na isagot, i want to be mrs. Benedict ilustre when i grow up"

both benedict and chandria were crying. tears of joy.
