Steve loved you long before you guys were dating. He loved your smile and your kindness.

Today was your birthday, and he wanted to do something truly special for you.

You walked inside your apartment and said, "Honey, I'm ho-" You stopped mid-sentence, as you looked around at your apartment.

Rose petals were scattered across the floor and an old 40's style radio sat next to your couch. The radio played soft 40's music and soothed you, for some reason. Then, there stood Steve. He was dressed in his blue botton-down shirt and jeans, and he was holding a bouquet of white roses.

He looked at you bashfully as he held out the bouquet. "Happy birthday, Darling."

You practically melted.

"Steve! Oh my gosh! You did not have to do this!" You spoke as you walked toward him and hugged him. He blushed a bit more, and wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed the top of your head.

You both stood there for a moment, basking in the music. Until, he moved away and bowed. He held his hand out, and you realized he was asking you to dance. You took his hand and he pulled you close.

He put his chin atop your head, and you put your feet on top of his. He swayed back and forth as you listened to his heartbeat.

Then he shocked you more.

"I love you." He said. You closed your eyes and smiled as you buried your face in his chest. "I love you too, Wonder Boy."
