Proposal: Bucky silently entered your shared apartment, hoping that you were asleep. Of course you weren't. "James Buchanan Barnes, where have you been?"

You had your hands on your hips and a firm glare on your face, as you tapped your foot on the polished wood of the apartment. You were not happy. Bucky cursed silently and looked at you.
"Steve asked me to help him with something, it's not important.." He said, hoping you'd believe him. He'd actually been with Steve to pick out a ring for you. He was going to propose to you in the morning, but seeing how mad you were, he didn't think he was even gonna get to sleep in the same bed as you.

You looked at him suspiciously, not believing a damn word he said. "Why do I think that's a bunch of bullshit?" You said, bitterness in your tone. When he didn't answer, a lump formed in your throat. All you could think was, Is he cheating on me?

"Who is she?" You asked as sadness filled your voice. Bucky looked at you in confusion. "Who is who?" You sighed. "The girl, James. The girl who has obviously taken your heart and that you love." Bucky now understood. You thought that he was cheating.

He was shocked. He would never do that to you! He was doing quite the opposite in fact. He took your hands in his and said, "Y/N. Y/N M/N L/N." He pulled out the ring and got on one knee as he he still held your hand.

"Y/N, this is why I was out. I wanted the perfect ring for the perfect girl that I love. Will you marry me?" You stood in shock and smiled as happy tears streamed down your face. You nodded your head, unable to speak.

He jumped up and kissed you, and you kissed him back. He pulled away and slid the ring on your finger. It fit perfectly.
