I was walking through the the halls until I bumped into a girl with brown lustrous hair. I swear I thought she was from a Pantene commercial. She had one streak of green hair, though. "Watch out, noob!" She cried then shoved me to the floor. My scrolls smashed to floor. I sighed and knelt down to the floor to pick them up. Just as I was getting back up, a boy stood in front of me and grew feathered wings that were white and glowing. But soon a teacher with octopus arms grabbed him by his ear and dragged him across the hallway. "How many times do I have to tell you? No shapeshifting in the halls! I've told your father and now I'm telling you! That's a demerit, Godboy! " She yelled from the other hall.I soon reached my locker and found it hard to open. Don't I have magic, I thought. I can just say a spell. "Locker, Locker, open for me. I only have 5 minutes to get to class 133!" I commanded.
God boys and Goddess girls turned to stare at me and my locker. Turns out I inherited Grandpa's loud voice. My locker wobbled, and shook until.........
Nothing. They all turned away to return to their classes. The boy beside me closed his eyes, and Water spewed out of his locker, causing it to open. I bet I can do that, I thought. I stared at my locker concentrating hard. But nothing.
"Are you kidding?" He said, almost laughing. "You can't do that. I'm Poseidon's son. Only I can."
"Oh." I said, instantly growing hot and shrinking back. So much for not embarrassed, I thought.
"Let me help." He then closed his eyes. His hands clenched into fists and- boom!- open locker.
"Aren't you the new girl, Ariana, right? I'm Payton. Must have known you're Athena's daughter. Principal Athena was talking to you near the courtyard."
"Wait? Poseidon's son? Your Dad and My Mom wanted to be Patron God of Athens so your dad gave them a geyser and my mom gave them the olive tree. They never spoke since." I said.
"Yup. Definitely Athena's daughter." Payton said. I laughed. We stood there silent for a while until we turned away from each other. I dropped off my stuff and took out my Hero- ology text scroll.
"I can't believe my Mom wanted our classes to have text scrolls." Payton then noticed my scroll and smiled.
"Hero- ology? I got that, too. Wanna come?" He said, trying to be charming.
"I kinda have no choice. I'd I don't, I'll go to the principal's office and then get a lecture about hanging out with ' the wrong crowd'.
I laughed a bit, but Payton didn't reply. We bumped into a girl with 8 heads, all a different color, bumped into us.
"Great, Samantha came." He whispered. I was about to ask who she is but one of her orange heads replied. "Hey, Payton!" It yelled. "Quiet down!" A head with headphones screeched. It then kept bobbing it's head to the music, smiling and humming a song. "I just wanted to say that you look great! What have you done over the summer? " a pink head asked. The bell rang. Payton then grabbed my wrist and dashed down the hallway.
"Who's Samantha?" I asked. Payton didn't answer. We opened the door just as the bell rang and I sat down. He sat down beside me and instantly GoddessGirls swarmed around him.
He winked. A teacher turned around on us. He must have started his lesson. He was bald and about seven feet, his skin was tinted red almost and had one giant hazel eye that was squinting at me and Payton, noticing that we were late.
"Welcome to Hero- ology. I'm your teacher, Mr. Cyclops. And I have been for over 100 years." He said woefully, staring off into the distance. He then snapped back to reality and picked up an upside- down helmet on his desk.
"These are your heroes. You will choose them randomly and they will be your assignment throughout the semester."
"So you're saying that what we do to our figures effects them on earth?" I said.
Mr. Cyclops nodded his head. "So how do we do that?" I asked.
The room then roared with laughter. "The earth girl, right? Never have been homeschooled on Magic? You'll have some catching up to do." Mr. Cyclops said to quiet the class down. I sunk back in my chair.
" We'll start with you, Dallas." He started with a boy with small horns and goat legs. Next, Payton got his figure and then me and green streak was sitting beside us. I didn't even know she was there until I heard something. Hssssssssssssssss.
"What was that?" I asked, looking around.
"Me." I turned to see a girl on my left with the green streak. But where her green streak used to be was replaced by it turning to a garter snake while another green streak was sitting beside it. " I then sheilded my eyes. "You better watch out. Because I'll turn you to a statue." She said. That only made my heart pump faster.
"Oh, c'mon, Michelle. Already picking on the new girl?" Payton said then turned to me. " She can't do that to us. We're immortal."
Oh. I then made my hand coil back to its original spot. " Who did you guys get?" I asked. No one answered so I did it myself.
"I got some some Greek guy named Odysseus. Don't I know this story? We started the Trojan war." I said.
"Well, technically speaking, our parents started it. But we are supposed to do it again. It's a never ending cycle in Greek mythology. If we don't re continue what happened, we could have never existed so we need to keep doing this." A blond girl behind Payton said.
"And I should honestly know. My mom started the Trojan war." She said. She had beautiful hair piled high with a gold clasp around her hair. She had seashell clips and a beautiful pink chiton. "Isn't the uniform white chitons?" I asked, instantly changing the subject. She shook her head.
" The uniform just says boys wear Greek tunics and girls wear chitons. It never said what colour." She answered.
"So much like Bubbles Junior to wear something fashion forward." Michelle said sarcastically.
"It's Abby, not Bubbles Junior. Your mom and you just won't give it a rest." Abby answered, stiffening.
"Why Bubbles junior?" I asked. She shook her head. " Haven't you heard? Her and her Mom were born from sea foam." Michelle answered.
"Then how does she have a mom?" I asked. " Well, you see, I still am my Mom's daughter but I - I just- it's complicated." Abby budded in.
"Told you she's a Bubbles Junior." Michelle hissed in my ear.
"Well, no shock here. I got Paris." Abby groaned, brushing off what Michelle said. We all shared who we got then the bell rang, signalling lunch. I raced to my locker, to find Hayden had beat me to it. " How'd you get here so fast?" I asked. He then opened his locker. "I have this weird mini Trident. I just click the pen, visualize where I want to be, and I'm there." Payton said then left to meet up with the other God boys. Making me alone. I shut my locker then bumped into something.
"Hey!"a tiny voice yelled. I looked down to find a spider. It grew and grew until it was a girl with six arms and Eight eyes. "Watch it!" She yelled then ran down the hall. I followed her to the cafeteria.
