"shit."

"guys? where are you?"

i pushed calum off of my chest and jumped up, as did calum.

"get your textbook!" calum whisper-yelled. i nodded and ran to my bag, unzipping it. the footsteps to my door became more louder as each second passed.

"hurry up!"

"i'm trying, god damn it! wait at my desk!" i pulled the textbook out of my bag and ran to the desk, sitting down on seat next to calum. i opened up to a random page, and the door burst open.

"and in 1872-"

"oh, there you guys are!"

"lorelai!" calum stood up and acted surprised.

"you're back a bit-" calum paused, biting his lip. "-a bit early." my mom just smiled.

"ah, yes. plans ended up being canceled, so i had to come back home. did i interrupt anything?"

yes.

i rolled my eyes and started reading the textbook, yet not comprehending any of the words due to the fact that i was listening closely to the conversation going on between my mom and my "tutor".

"no, no. we were just going over a couple of things in her textbook." my mom nodded, her smile still plastered onto his face.

"alright. well, i'll be downstairs if you need anything. i hope evelyn has been behaving." calum smirked.

"oh, don't you worry. she's been a very good girl." i bit my lip, just as my mom spoke up once again.

"that's good! well, i'll let you two continue. goodbye!" finally, she left the room and shut the door behind her. i heard calum's footsteps, and then heard the click of the door locking. i watched as he turned to look at me.

"now, where were we?"

okay i promise the chapters will get longer, i really do. but for now i'm trying to update more often, and also have good quality chapters so that i'm not just handing you guys a pile of shit to read.
