I bit my bottom lip nervously as mom helped me put my tie on. I had told her I was feeling sick and didn't want to go, but she insisted it was the night I have been waiting for, forever. She also had to go to work and it was either go to the dance or stay home. If I stayed home, Riker would be forced to miss the dance and stay home with me.. alone. I chose the dance. Mom took a photo of Aiden and his girl looking 'cute' together. I stood awkwardly by the door until she insisted on having a photo of me and Aiden.
His girl stood to the side and I stood beside Aiden. His arm wrapped around my shoulder but I quickly shrugged it off. He moved his hand to my lower half and wrested it on my hip, pressing our hips together tightly.
I felt his fingers ding in, rubbing circles. It made me flinch a bit, but in a good way. It felt..nice. Almost pleasurable. But I hate him, so that's no good.
I swallowed and looked up at the camera when mom told us to say 'cheese'. I squeaked out the word and looked up at Aiden when he moved his hand to my ass. I quickly moved away and walked to the door.
"We're going to be late." I lie and smile innocently, we make our way to the dance. Before I know it, Im sitting down at the table watching Aiden dance with the girl of his dreams. Maybe it was a mistake. maybe I accidentally texted the wrong person. Maybe she's still going to come and meet me. What am I kidding. I can see Aiden phone beside me, he left at the table and I already did a few more texts asking if she was coming.
It was once again, Aiden phone. I was going to get him back. I needed to act like I didn't know, in order for it to happen. He wanted to make this girl stand me up, then Ill make sure his girl stands him up too. Ill make sure she's gone for good. The song ends and he glances over at me, making his way over here as the girl talks to some friends.
"Hey bub, are you okay? Can you tell me what I did wrong yet? I want you to have fun, not a bad time. Shes going to show up at 9 remember?" He gently places his hand on my cheek and caresses with his thumb. I held back tears looking at him. What was I supposed too say? "Ross, please don't ignore me forever. Whatever I did, Im sorry." It looked like he was getting tears in his eyes aswell. "I can't be happy if you aren't happy." He pulls me into a hug. I need to pretend it didn't happen.... I repeat in my head.
"Its okay Aiden." I whisper, looking at him. He smiles and kisses my forehead, fixing my hair.
"she will be here soon, I promise." He whispers and gets up. "its 9." he goes to walk away. "No, stay. I want you to sit here with me until she shows up. And If she doesn't show up, you have to break up with your girlfriend. Deal? Because we have always said we would meet them together." I shoot him a glare, trying. It to hold back the biggest smirk ever. He was going to pay for this. "and if you don't say deal then I will promise to never talk to you again. " I smile innocently at him. He just stares at me for a moment before looking off into the crowd. He didn't move, he just looked away from me. I gave him the choice.
"Deal." he mumbles. He could now tell me his evil plan, and still have his girl, since he technically did show up. That, or he could say nothing and loose the girl and keep his dignity. He stayed quiet for a while. I stared at him the whole time. We waited half past nine. "You know don't you." He looks at me. Oh, you have no idea.
"Know what Aiden?" I smile innocently.
"That im in love with you."
