Im walking with Aiden, my hands attached to my backpack. I was excited to have lunch at the park. Where we always do, but this time I had news. I wanted to tell him all about this girl I had been writing to for about two months.

Of course he knew about it, but I always told him how we are doing and what is going on with us. He thinks its adorable.

You see, I had always had bad luck with girls, until Aiden showed me this website. Its nothing bad, I swear. We just email each other and I sorta fell in love with her. She had told me she feels the same way, and that my teddy bear was cute.

That is how I knew she was the one.

I set my bag down next to the bench and took in a breath of fresh air. I took my bear out of my bag, hugging it to my chest. No one could see us out here, so I took the chance to cuddle the only thing left I had of my parents since I was 11.

Ive been living with Aiden and his family ever since. My peanut butter and jelly was plastic wrapped with its crust cut off. Just how I like it. I knew I sometimes acted like a child, but I figured that mom said I'm always her little boy, why do I have to grow up?

"So today she emailed me and said she likes my teddy bear." I smiled up at Aiden. He let out a little chuckle and smiles back at me.

"Is that so?" His grin was evident. His eyes seemed to sparkle at me whenever we had these conversations. He always loved hearing them.

"Yes, she also said im really cute. I sent her a picture of me." I smiled to the floor with shame. Me? Sending girls photos? I'm such a rebel.

Rebel? I remember taking about thirty photos with different faces before finally deciding I still look the same.

It took me a while to un wrap the sandwich. As soon as the plastic was gone, I stared at it with a watering mouth.

"She's right you know" Aiden adds on, when I decide to take a massive bite out of my lunch. My eyebrows scrunched up as I looked at him.

"I don't know" I muffle through a full mouth of food. Aiden chuckled again before telling me she was right about me being cute. It made me smile a bit. I like when people don't think of me as a freak. Aiden is my best friend, we were okay with telling each other stuff. Especially when it got personal. He told me the first time he lost his virginity, eighth grade, on the roof of some girls house. Sounds romantic, until he told me about them almost falling off when they were caught by her parents.

"Really, I mean it. you are adorable. Just look at you. you have jelly all over your face." He lets out a giggle and wipes the jelly off the corners of my mouth, putting his finger in his mouth to lick it off.

I watch as his blond hair sits perfectly on his face. He was looking straight ahead, letting me glance at his features from aside. His nose had the slightest lift up, it was one of his best features.

"Yet, im known as the weird one." I blush, taking out the other sandwich and passing it to him.

"Well I can't let it go to waste." he mentions just as he takes the sandwich from me and unwraps it with ease. So thats why he's the cool one. He can actually do things with out struggling in any way possible. That or I just struggle with anything to do with life.

"So back to the girl. She still has not told me her name, but she said she goes to our school." I smile brightly at that, it means she lives close to us. "I was hoping that some day we could meet and live happily ever after."

"See, thats your problem. You can't just come out with that stuff, it will scare her away." His arm wrapped around me and we ate our sandwiches. I had nothing to say back to him.

Whenever he gave me advice, I decided to just take it and accept what I do wrong. I see Aiden as my big brother. I see him as nothing but that, he is always there for me just as a brother should be. Everyone in school even thinks we are brothers. Seeing as I live with him, I might as well be. Tonight, we are going to practice my basket ball. I wanted to join the team this year, in order to do that I had to actually be able to make a basket.

Later on that day, we walked back to the house together. Our bags thrown across the floor with our shoes and coats thrown on the couches. We ran outside, grabbing the basket ball, I ran toward the hoop as fast as I could.

"As if!" Aiden yells and snatches the ball from me. Even a head start cant help my pour soul. "Come on Ross! You can do it!" He yells at me while I jump for the ball that he holds above his head.

"You arent being fair!" I groan and smack his arm, the ball going flying. I run over to it, picking it up with both hands. Aiden arms wrap around my waist and spin me around continuously. I closed my eyes in attempt to not get dizzy. The wind around me seems to be against this, making it quite obvious how much my head is being shaken up right now. I let out a low giggle.

Eventually he sets me down and takes a step back, being dizzy himself. I regain my balance and shoot at the target. Sadly, like normal I miss by a long shot. Aiden chuckles behind me and runs up to the ball, bringing it back to me. The ball is placed in my hands. It being massive compared to my fingers. I hold it close to my chest with both hands ready to shoot.

"Stop, stop, stop," Aiden puts his hands on mine while standing behind me. "Thats how you pass to someone, you goof." He raises my hands and aims at the target. "Now, once you let go, and shoot; your fingertips will help guide it to the net." Ah, the net. Thats what its called. I nod and stick my tongue out. His hands drop from mine and he takes a step beside me. I shoot for the net, failing miserably once again. This time it was in the right direction atleast. "Better, but you forgot the finger tips." He goes behind me again and puts his chin on my head, his hands on my hips as he points me in the right direction. "Now lift your arms" he orders me while holding my elbows in the right spot. I could feel the back of my body against his front. I knew with his help I would be able to get this ball in the net. "Get ready." he tells me. His hands back on my hands. I lean the ball backward. He helps me shoot and holds my fingertips at the end. We shoot, we score. A massive smile appears on my face and im about to scream with joy.

Aiden hands go back to my hips and I let out a loud giggle. We did it! I finally got a ball in the net!

"Aiden! Ross! come put your school stuff away now!" mother calls. Well Aiden mother. I guess its okay to call her mother seeing as thats what she is to me the past years.

What made me a little weird was how Aiden jumped back from me when mom yelled. He was acting like he was doing something wrong.

Whats wrong with teaching me how to shoot? We both ran inside to clean up the mess and help with dinner. I know Im going to make the team If I keep trying.

I just have to.
